If we do not receive a timely response we simply move on to another applicant. And please wait for our response as we schedule appointments to meet our pets. Pet info, adoption cost/detail information below: PET DESCRIPTION:  Chase is a seven-month-old male Basset/maybe Beagle looking mix, only 23 lbs so should stay under 30 lbs.  But shy at first but playful and learning pets and attention are a good thing. DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch (and we register the chip at time of the adoption); certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more.  (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter). Meet Japan, a 1-year-old, 25â€Â㦊-pound mix of Corgi and Basset. (Note his short legs!) The best way to describe him is to quote his foster’s description. “Very playful, dog friendly, vocal, loves to jump, loves playing with his kennel mate, loves to give kisses and just all around wants all the attention!” Sounds like a great dog to me! Don’t you think? (posted 3/7/26, ME) ' ' Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. Meet Hannah – The Gentle Matriarch Hannah is a beautiful 7-year-old Hound mix with a heart as big as her floppy ears! She’s a calm, well-behaved girl who just wants to be near her people and enjoy the simple comforts of life. Hannah’s look is as unique as her personality — she has a little extra skin and a slightly crooked snout, likely from birth, that only adds to her one-of-a-kind charm. This amazing girl was rescued from a hoarding situation involving 17 dogs and puppies. Many have since found their forever homes, but a few, including some believed to be Hannah’s daughters, are still waiting for their happily-ever-after. We think Hannah was the matriarch of the group, and her nurturing nature truly shines through. Since joining the rescue, Hannah has completed her heartworm treatment and is now heartworm negative! She’s also learning new skills every day — including leash walking, crate training, and she’s completely housebroken! Hannah has been spayed, fully vaccinated, and dewormed, and she’s ready to find a loving home to call her own. This is Huey!! Pictures just don't do justice to this happy little guy - he and his sidekick Louie are short, long and stocky weighing in at about 35ish pounds and are just plain adorable! Watching them play with their toys is hilarious! They arrived at the Ark together, but would do just fine going to separate homes. ** Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.
