  Everyone meet Henley aka Hen. I call her my little school bus baby because she’s got a long stocky body and tiny short legs. Her mom, Honey, is part basset hound. Shes super cuddly. She loves naps on the couch and she also loves her chew rope. If you’re looking for a little bestie she’s the one for you. All dogs have age appropriate vaccines including Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies. All dogs are spayed or neutered, and wormed for parasites. Older puppies and adults are tested for heartworms and treated if found to be positive. NovaStar is a 501C3 non-profit rescue that receives no monetary help from local, state or federal entities. All adoption fees go straight to our vets to help pay for the veterinary care and other expenses related to the care of all the dogs in the rescue. Other than adoption fees, NovaStar is financed exclusively by donations and an occasional grantAdoption fees: Adults 1 year and older: $150Seniors 6 years and older: $75Puppies 0 to 6 months old: $295 to $350, dependent on breedPuppies 6 months to 1 year: $200Transport is available from Arkansas with stops in Tennessee, Pennsylvania, NY, NJ, and Connecticut. When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away! I am ready when you are, do your stuff so we can ride off into the sunset, in air conditioning, of course!
