Meet Miss Maebelle Lucille- a 8 month old Basset/Beagle mix (aka a "Bagel") who might just be the most enthusiastic car-ride companion you'll ever meet. Maebelle loves long sniff-about walks, chewing on a good stick, and rounding up her tiny balls like they're her babies. She's crate trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and is perfectly happy entertaining herself with a favorite toy while you work from home. She rings a bell to go outside, knows sit and wait, and gives you the sweetest eye contact when you ask her to. Around people- new friends, kids, whoever- she's an alarm bark and then a total sweetheart. Maebelle has shown resource guarding around another dog in her home, so she needs to go to someone experienced with resource guarding and ready to keep working with her on it. With the right setup, she's going to make someone's whole world.

Daisy is an 8 year old Basset Hound from rural Oklahoma who's friendly with strangers, great with other dogs, and has lived alongside kids of all ages without incident. She currently shares a property with horses, chickens, and cattle without drama, so livestock isn't a dealbreaker. Cats are a different story though- they're too fun to chase. Recently, Daisy has decided the highway is more interesting than her yard, which is an issue considering what's usually driving on it. Storms and loud noises send her looking for an exit, and so far she's found several. She will need a securely fenced yard to keep her contained. Daisy is looking for someone willing to slow down and show her a different kind of exciting- one that doesn't involve storm chasing or near misses on the highway. LOCATION: SHAWNEE, OK ADOPTABLE ANYWHERE IN THE USA. Phoebe is a young Basset Hound with more energy than her short legs would suggest. She's housebroken, loves people, and will greet total strangers like they're old friends. She's obsessed with balls and rubber toys and would happily play until her ears drag on the ground. Phoebe is still very much a puppy at heart- she has all the usual puppy behaviors, including zero concept of personal space when she's excited. She's done well her foster sibling but does need to be fed separately from other dogs. Phoebe would do best with an adopter who is ready for fun and has the time to work on manners- someone who can channel all that enthusiasm into training rather than a bouncing off the walls! helplesshounds.com/adopt
