Story
Meet Ramón, the perfect blend of charming gentleman and loyal companion! Currently living in a foster home in Jalisco, Mexico, Ramón is a 5-year-old Beagle and Saint Bernard cross who weighs in at a sturdy 45 lbs. He is the ultimate "middle-ground" dog: he has the soulful, loving eyes of a Beagle combined with the calm, steady presence of a Saint Bernard.  Why You’ll Fall in Love with Ramón: • A True Gentleman: Ramón is an obedient, well-behaved dog. He is already housetrained, walks well on a leash, and is a fantastic passenger for all your car rides. • Family First: He is wonderfully social and currently lives happily with children, dogs, and cats. Whether you have a busy household or a quiet one, Ramón fits right in. • Low Maintenance: He doesn't shed excessively, doesn't guard his food, and has a medium energy level—meaning he’s up for a nice walk but just as happy to curl up for a nap by your feet. • Health & Wellness: He is neutered, dewormed, fully vaccinated, and ready for his forever home.  The Ideal Home Ramón is looking for a family that appreciates a loving and calm soul. He’ll let you know someone is at the door with a bark, but otherwise, he’s just there to provide steady affection. If you’re looking for a friendly, loyal, and balanced companion who is already a pro at "being a good boy," Ramón is ready to meet you!   PLEASE NOTE: Ramón is currently in Mexico. There will be a $235 fee for transportation to BC. This will be discussed upon approval. ##2666124##

Hey there! I’m Jezzy — wagging my tail and ready to tell you all about me!Breed: Beagle/Coonhound mixAge: 1 year 3 moGender: MaleWeight: 14–17 kgHeight: MediumCountry of Origin: TurkeyHighlights: Smart, playful, food-driven, adventure-loving I’m Jezzy, a happy, curious boy who loves exploring and spending time with people and other dogs. I was found as a young pup, ready to take on the world but needing a safe place to grow. My rescuer made sure I got all the care I needed—vet checks, vaccinations, neutering—but what I really need now is a loving home where I can run, play, and learn. I’m playful, intelligent, energetic, and super food-driven. I love toys, games, and outdoor adventures, and I pick up training quickly. I enjoy being with other dogs, learning from them, and having a partner to play with. I’m affectionate with people and thrive when I get mental and physical stimulation. I would do best in a home that can match my energy and give me consistent training and outdoor time. A family or adopter who enjoys walks, hikes, playtime, and mental engagement will bring out the very best in me. Energy Level: Moderate I get along with:Dogs: Yes, with gentle and friendly dogsCats: UnknownKids: Unknown Fears: None observed – please be patient as I settle into my new home Training:Leash skills: Yes, I walk nicely on a leash, though I love to sniff and explore.House trained: Unknown – I’ve been living in a garden but I’m eager to learn indoor manners. Health & Care: Fully vaccinated (Rabies, KC, DHPPL) Dewormed & flea/tick preventive every two months Neutered & microchipped Tested negative for Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma, Giardia, Parvo & Distemper I’m neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for a forever home. My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD + applicable taxes, which includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2692752##

Hello, I'm CHANEL. Here is some info about me:Breed: Beagle / Husky mixAge: 1.5 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 47 lbCountry of origin: Middle East (Currently in Canada!)Highlight(s): Sweet, Cuddly, Smart, Shy, Funny, Eager to please. UPDATE: I am now here in Canada and ready for my forever home! Settling into this new lifestyle is a big step. New encounters still make me a bit nervous, but I'm trying my best to be brave every day. I am currently in need of a home with another playful dog and with humans who are able to manage me when I pull on the leash when seeing squirrels and rabbits. I also could greatly benefit from having an adopter who can continue my training. Not that I'm boasting but I am currently being fostered with a number of other dogs in my foster dad's home and we all get along great. My foster says I'm allergic to chicken, but other than that I'm a healthy girl.  Found alone, hungry, and sick in a ditch, it felt like nobody wanted a stray puppy until a kind lady saved me. That shaky start is far behind me now. Today, I’m a calm girl ready to give my heart wholeheartedly to a family who accepts me just as I am.  Being a fast learner, I’m highly intelligent and would dream of learning more tricks with you! While shyness is common at first, treats work wonders for my confidence. Once comfortable, a silly side emerges to keep you smiling, though relaxing in your arms remains the favorite pastime. A quiet, adult-only home suits me best, as quick movements from children can be startling. While I've had little previous experience with cats, my current foster has a cat with whom I get along quite well, even wanting to play. Having a fenced yard is essential for feeling safe. A dog buddy later on would perhaps be a boost to my confidence as I get along with most dogs. In my current foster home, I get along fine with the male dog but I'm not comfortable with the female. At this time, it might be a good idea if I'm the only dog in the home but I will certainly enjoy play buddies when we go out walking. Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yes, mostlyCats: yesKids: no, as I don't like sudden movementsPrey drive: moderate, not observed with squirrels, rabbits, etc... My adopter neds to be prepared to obtain assistance should this behavior occur. Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: Leash skills: some. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: yes, Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes: I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG. Please do NOT submit an application through LALDR. Please contact Michelle Trofimuk at michellesam6958@gmail.com for more information or to adopt. Hi everyone, I am the cuddly Copper and here's some information about me: Age: 2 years 9 monthsBreed: BeagleWeight: 45  lbsHeight: 15 inchesGender: Male Highlights: loving, loyal, smart, stares unendingly at you, listens well with that knowing look, adventurous and social. I was adopted at 7 weeks old and stayed with a retired human who took me everywhere and walked me all over Royal Rd Uiversity, the Galloping goose trail and Esquimalt lagoon. I was neutered at 11 months old. As the years moved on, I have however gained a few pounds and would love to have someone walk me as much as possible. I really enjoy playing fetch and retrieving your lost sticks for you, especially at the beach. I'll also fetch you your slippers and will do my best to please you. My current person says that I am a very loving and loyal boy who just needs to be with my human all the time. My previous mom never left me alone except if I had a friend at home. Being a social fellow, I get along with cats and most dogs and can be let off leash at the park.   My person lets me sleep in the bed and I love burrowing under a blanket beside them and snuggling into their legs, snoring the night away. As a pup with lots of personality, I like to talk to you and put my paw on you to ask for pets. When it comes to attention, I can be a bit pushy, but it's just because I am a social guy. I adoore being massaged and hugged. Regarding training, I am both crate and leash trained and can do standard commands like sit, paw, down, highfive, low bark (whisper bark).  When walking on leash, I still tend to pull and off-leash I don't get my recall right 100 % of the time, so please be patient while I work on my leash and recall skills. While I may still jump when people come over, this behaviour has improved significantly since from when I was a young and eager pup. Getting my nails trimmed is not a problem, but I really don't like baths, so my person just uses a washcloth. . I get along with:Dogs: YesCats: YesKids: Yes with kids and elderly, however I am still wroking on not jumping so I need your help to sit and stay calm   I am fully house trained, neutered, microchipped, my shots are up to date. My health is great other than the odd ear yeast infection which has been easy to treat. Other than that, I do need to lose weight and need a health partner that can keep me accountable with lots of walks and only healthy treats.  An adoption fee of $100 applies. Here are some funny moments showing my personality:  https://www.instagram.com/reel/DBdM8VPx-3g/?igsh=OXI4bGxiZmlxaDZo  and communication:  https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPO1D0uEWMa/?igsh=Z2ZpZXM1Zm95dzcw https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDTQL0ypMMP/?igsh=MXhpZm1sbXNxM3ozbQ== THIS IS A COURTESY POST.
