Story
Meet Itzi! This beautiful girl joined us when she was abandoned outside of an apartment building. Poor Itzi was starving, and some guys working on the apartment building bought her bowls, food, and gave her water. Word of mouth got around that she was there by herself, and that's when she was picked up and joined the rescue. Itzi has been loving foster care. Her favorite thing to do is play with all of the toys and follow the other dogs around. She is very social and loving. We have no way to know what her mix is, only our best guess. Story
46 lb, 2 ish year old Maya was one of 4 dogs rescued from South Texas. They were surviving in the woods next to a very busy highway. She will thrive with an adopter that would enjoy working with a shy dog, and will really benefit from a patient owner that keeps things pretty relaxed and will work with her to build her confidence. She’s still learning that not everyone will abandon her, and seeks social cues from other dogs to thrive. Maya is affectionate with her foster mom. She now loves being inside and only prefers to be outside to potty, then is ready to be in the nice AC! She is dog and cat friendly, and doesn't seem to care about chickens. She's crate trained and quiet. She's a wonderful little dog. She’s now been vaccinated, spayed, and is loving foster care. She's also going through heartworm treatment, covered by the rescue at our vet in Meridian. Her adoption fee includes spay, vaccinations, and microchip. Please apply to adopt Maya below!
