Story
Delight has big brown eyes that will melt your heart and a delightful personality to go with them. She is a happy and sweet girl that likes to be with her people and cuddle next to them on the couch. She joyfully plays with toys, enjoys chew toys, and tummy rubs!  She was treated for heartworms and has an occasional cough but she is not on any medications. She is an active girl who likes walks and running after a squirrel in the yard. She has a tendency to dash at cars while on walks so her forever person would need to be able to handle that.  She would be the perfect dog for a person or couple looking for a lower-key companion to curl up this winter. We are looking for her to be the only dog in the home. Her adoption fee has been sponsored which means the adopter pays no fee. However, a adoption application still needs to be submitted and approved. Who can open their home to this sweet girl?May 29, 2023, 9:39 am

Bernie came to us very shy and timid. He is blossoming in his foster home and has become quite playful and is becoming more confident every day. He is a smart guy and he will require a fenced in yard as he is a fast boy and an escape artist. May 29, 2023, 9:39 am

Story
Rosie is a very sweet and calm dog. She has quite a bark on her but she only does it when she’s excited or sees someone walk by. She was purchased from a private seller as a puppy. She needs an active home as she has a lot of energy, but she also is able to relax and lay in her bed. She’s goofy, she loves to play, but is sweet and gentle and loves cuddles and giving kisses.

Story
Scrappy is a 2-month old Beagle mix looking for his forever home. He currently weighs about 8 pounds and is likely to be a medium sized dog when he is full grown. Scrappy's foster mama reports that he is a typical puppy - playful, happy, and friendly. He loves to play with toys and chew on bones. He also loves to run around in the yard. Scrappy is good with dogs - he enjoys wrestling with his canine foster siblings and his sister, Daphne. He tries to play with his foster parents' older cat. She isn't amused, so they redirect. Their other cats stay away from him. He will cuddle, but prefers laying on the dog bed with the big dogs - or playing with the big dogs. He also enjoys wrestling with one of his foster parents' big dogs. Scrappy will need continued guidance on house training and crate training, plus basic obedience. House training is coming along nicely, and he's starting to understand the household routine. His minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Daphne is a 2-month old Beagle mix looking for her forever home. She currently weighs about 7 pounds and is likely to be a medium sized dog when she is full grown. Daphne is your typical puppy; she is playful and energetic, although a bit more laid back than some of her littermates. She loves to wrestle with her brother (Scrappy), run around the house, and play with toys. Daphne loves playing with the big dogs - and even gives them a little sass. She enjoys laying in the grass and acting like she's hiding. You'll discover that Daphne loves curling up next to you on the couch or chair. She even lays upside down! She did great on her last car ride. After taking a moment to get settled, she laid down for the rest of the car ride. Her foster mom describes her as friendly, outgoing, confident, happy, and playful. She will need continued guidance on house training and crate training, plus basic obedience. She is making progress with house training and is experiencing less accidents. Daphne is starting to bark to go outside. Her minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Hi! I am Quanta and so sweet, smart and cute little boy... although I was the second biggest! I came to PCH in my mommy's belly. I love to be held so much and my foster Granny says Grandpa spoiled me by holding me all the time! I disagree with Granny, I am not spoiled; I just need bunches of hugs and kisses to survive! Ok, so maybe that's being a little dramatic... to be happy anyway! I love to play and I can be a drama queen... I have so much personality! You will love me... I can also be very chilled! Since I couldn't control my licker early on, Granny thought she better get me a licker license. *We have the Momma dog (Mila) for this litter and she is 30 pounds. We do not have the Dad dog. Just click on my picture and fill out an application today! Adoption fee: $299. Available now. All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heart-worm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Due to the construction of our state of the art facility, none of our pets are on site, they are all located in foster homes at this time. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile. After we review your completed survey we will contact you by phone or email within 72 hours or less. We're primarily a volunteer organization, so we appreciate your patience. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sundays and Mondays and will not be processing any applications on those days. Do get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey: A PCH adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH cannot guarantee any pets availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). Counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents via a meeting app). We do require that adopters discuss all questions before pickup via phone or email in order to minimize direct contact with our staff/volunteers at the time of adoption. After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system* *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and leash to pick up. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Drive-in adoption! Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the Nu-Way semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Adopters should pull up to the curb in front of the facility. Adopters should stay in their vehicle. Please be prepared with items such as a crate, leash, blankets, paper towels, cleanup spray, garbage bags, etc. Call 309-846-9534 when you arrive. A PCH representative wearing a mask will carry or walk the pet out and place in the client's vehicle. Social distancing practices should be respected during this process. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day photo with family and new pet through the window of the vehicle. Thank you to all for saving the life of a shelter pet!
