He’s gentle, friendly, and loves being part of whatever his people are doing. Bellamy gets along well with cats and enjoys their company. He is not a fan of all other dogs. He has shown us that he really likes children and a home with some kiddos would make him very happy. If you’re looking for a loving companion with a warm heart and a joyful spirit, Bellamy might be the perfect match. Medical Alert: During routine vetting, Bellamy tested positive for heartworm. Per Hope’s protocol, he is being treated using the “Slow Method,” which we’ve found to be a much safer and gentler approach. He's sweet and friendly, always ready to greet you with a wagging tail and a playful bark. Hobbs is funny and smart, his antics will keep you entertained for hours. Hobbs would do best as an only dog and we don't know about cats. He's also incredibly energetic, always up for a game of fetch or a brisk walk. Despite his lively nature, Hobbs is also gentle and cuddly. He loves nothing more than to snuggle up with you after a long day. Sweetie is an incredibly affectionate, intelligent, and loyal dog. She loves being close to her people, enjoys cuddling, and settles down nicely in the evenings. Through her training, she has learned a great deal and is kennel trained (and is so quiet in her kennel, you may forget she's in there!), she is fully house trained, and is familiar with commands such as sit, heel, climb, bed (kennel), and does well with loose-leash walking, and several other obedience skills. One thing the trainer has consistently emphasized is just how intelligent and capable Sweetie is. In fact, he recently described her as "a dog trainer's dream" and said Sweetie could be great at doing a job, or sport, like agility or dock jumping. She has energy and a vertical leap you wouldn't believe. She genuinely enjoys learning, responds best to structure, and seems happiest when she is being challenged and given opportunities to work, train, and engage with her handler. We believe she would thrive with an adopter who enjoys training dogs and would continue building on the strong foundation she already has. She's happy and... well... sweet. June is a 4-year-old Beagle who has officially decided that hunting is overrated and laps are much better.This girl is an absolute attention seeker in the sweetest way. June LOVES to be as close to her people as physically possible. She will climb right into your lap, melt against you, and soak up every bit of affection you are willing to give. If there is such a thing as too much snuggling, June has no interest in finding that limit.June is a former hunting dog, but these days she is much more interested in trading the outdoors for a cozy bed, a warm home, and a person she can curl up against. She is incredibly loving and just wants to be near her people. She is not going to go back to a home that will throw her in a kennel until it is time to go hunting. She deserves so much more than that. She will be an indoor house dog from now on. If you are looking for a hunting dog do not apply. Like any Beagle, June will do best with a family that understands the breed and their famous tendency to follow their noses wherever an interesting scent may lead.
