Meet Delta Dawn!
If you're looking for a dog who is equal parts cuddle bug, comedian, and loyal companion, Delta Dawn is ready to steal your heart.
Delta Dawn is an 18-month-old, 30-pound Beagle mix with a sweet, loving personality and just the right amount of playful energy. She's happiest when she's with her people and has a knack for making everyone smile.
One of Delta Dawn's favorite hobbies is giving what her foster family calls "free facials." If you're within tongue's reach, don't be surprised if she decides your face could use a little exfoliating! And if you're scrolling on your phone or reading a book instead of paying attention to her, she'll solve that problem by hopping up and sitting right on whatever has your focus. She firmly believes your attention belongs to her, and she's usually right.
When playtime is over, Delta Dawn is content to curl up on your lap and watch TV. She loves toys, enjoys chasing squirrels in the yard, and has a wonderful off switch when it's time to relax. She requires a physically fenced yard to safely run and play.
Delta Dawn gets along well with other dogs and loves to play but doesn't need a canine companion to be happy. She would do just as well as your one and only furry family member. She is house trained, kennel trained, and has excellent house manners. She doesn't really need to be kenneled when left alone.
One thing to know about Delta Dawn is that she prefers to eat her meals without other dogs crowding her food bowl. Having experienced hunger in the past, she's protective of her food, and it's easy to understand why. Simply feeding her separately from other dogs is all it takes to keep everyone happy.
At bedtime, Delta Dawn's favorite place to sleep is snuggled up in bed with her foster parents. She loves being close to her people and will gladly end every day with a cuddle.
Delta Dawn is looking for a family who will appreciate her affectionate personality, laugh at her silly antics, and make room for one very lovable Beagle mix on the couch... and probably in the bed, too. If you're looking for a best friend who will keep you entertained, shower you with kisses, and remind you every day that life is better with a dog, Delta Dawn is waiting to meet you!
Delta Dawn is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
