Story
Meet Morty, part Beagle, part clown, and part cuddlebug! Those are the three things we can guarantee. The rest of his family tree is anyone's guess!
At 6 years old and 29 pounds, Morty has been an absolute joy in his foster home. This happy boy loves to play, whether it's with his people or his four-legged foster siblings. His favorite activities include tossing toys into the air, sending them flying down the deck steps, and showing off his impressive zoomies in the yard. He loves all kinds of toys and plays very nicely with other dogs.
When playtime is over, Morty is ready to switch gears. He is happiest curled up near his people or, even better, in their laps. He also enjoys piling up with the other dogs when it's time to settle down. Personal space isn't really his thing!
Morty is a smart boy who comes quickly when he hears a whistle, knows how to sit, and does his best to figure out what his people want. When his humans come home, he greets them with a full-body wiggle and excited little whines and yips. He just can't contain his happiness! He does have the classic Beagle bark, but generally saves it for important announcements, like dinner being served too slowly or someone forgetting him outside for too long. After all, Morty wants to be wherever his people are. They might have food, toys, or attention!
Morty is house trained and crate trained. He would love having another dog to play with but would also be perfectly happy as the only dog. He currently sleeps in bed with his foster parents and is a big fan of sleeping in before starting his day.
Morty will need a home with a physically fenced yard where he can safely enjoy those epic zoomies. If you're looking for a happy, playful companion who will keep you laughing and happily claim a spot beside you, Morty might just be your guy!
Morty is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, microchipped, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
