Story
Meet Max, an 8-year, 8-month-old Beagle mix who weighs 24 pounds and is ready to find a family of his own. Max came into rescue with his mom after they were surrendered to the Cedar Rapids shelter. Despite the changes in his life, Max has remained a happy, social guy who is always glad to see his people and loves being part of the action. Max does well with other dogs and would be happy sharing his home with a canine companion. His favorite place is wherever his humans are. Whether you're relaxing at home, spending time outside, or just going about your day, Max would much rather be right there with you. At 8 years old, Max has left the puppy stage behind, but he has plenty of love and personality to share. He's looking for a family who will appreciate a sweet, social companion and give him the loving home he deserves. If you're looking for a happy boy with a big heart and a serious appreciation for people, Max would love to meet you! Max is housetrained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. If you'd like to meet Max, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Max, you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only. Adoption Fee: $300

Story
Bella is a sweet and affectionate girl, as long as she's the only female dog. She is ok with male dogs. Her favorite thing is belly rubs. She loves attention. She would do best with a fenced yard, and a calm home. She doesn't like being caught off guard. She is a very loyal and devoted dog.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Senior pup Charlie is about as happy go lucky as a guy can be! He surely isn't going to let a little old age slow him down and he's quickly become a social butterfly at doggie daycare! At just around 13.5 years old, Charlie is a nice "schmedium" sized dog - maybe a terrier/beagle mix, we can't say for sure what his breed mix is other than "cute"! We find Charlie to be a social dog, he's more apt to make friends with the animals in the room before he comes to new people to say hello. He isn't much of a lap pet, but is a terrific easy-going companion.  Charlie was in rough shape when he first joined us, but a vet appointment to get him started on prescription allergy meds and pain management for severe arthritis have put some pep back in his step! His new owner will need to continue these prescription meds for him long-term. Charlie's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccines and preventatives.  Charlie is seeking an indoor only home, if you would like to meet him please submit an adoption application for consideration at Adopthope.org. Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept any pets altered, kept current on vaccines/annual vet visits and as indoor pets only.  Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 10, 2026, 5:21 pm
