Story
Maggie can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, she’ll be your loyal shadow in no time. Give her a little patience and space, and you’ll earn a friend for life. Maggie started her New Year’s resolution to shed a few pounds a couple of months early — a goal that’s helping her feel her very best! Luckily, her age hasn’t slowed her down one bit — she loves taking a brisk walk around the yard or through the neighborhood. Maggie would prefer to be your one and only pet, as she’s ready to soak up all the love and attention for herself. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart, Maggie might be the perfect match.Adoption Fee $250To Apply: fcrspca.org/adopt

Story
Bandit belonged to my neighbor who is very sick and now in the hospital with complications form diabetes, stroke and a recent broken hip from a fall. He will not be able to come home to his house and live alone and will not be able to care for his dog anymore. He has asked me to find him a loving home. I have been forstering him for a a few weeks but I can not keep the dog. He takes medication for seizures so need someone who can care for him. He has a big crate and a bed that can go with him. He is so lovable and just wants a family. I am working on getting all vet records. The vet would not tell me much but he told me he is up to date with visits and vaccines. I marked unknown with other dogs/cats because i really dont know. He is a bit aggressive and lunges on leash when encountering a new dog. He needs to be introduced properly by someone who can handle him. I was able to introduce him to my dog and they are both in my house now with no problem. I dont leave them alone.

Story
Archie is a 2 1/2 year old beagle mix. He loves to run in our fenced-in backyard, and due to his beagle nature, a fence is a good idea. He likes to be with his two senior owners, that rescued him from the SPCA with almost no history. He needs some calm time (with treats) to meet new people, and then accepts them. Seems to be intimidated by large males, and is reactive with other dogs, but with patience, seems to be getting better. Archie does not settle in easy in a crate, and with our retired schedule is with us all the time. A busy, active household could be just what he needs, perhaps with kids and another dog. Archie loves his couch and lap time with family - and he loves treats. We give him one every time he comes back in the house. He will sit before he goes outside, and sometimes jumps straight up because he is so excited about going out. He loves rides in the car, and barks when he sees something and will “sing/hum” a lot of the time. He is a loving, loyal dog!
