Story
Meet this adorable fella named Licker! (He is currently in a foster home with 2 other dogs and doing great.) He came into the shelter June 23-25, 2021 when his family could no longer keep him a s asked ACO to come & pick him up. He was involved in an accident shortly after coming in and is on the mend. He also suffers from seizures so he will need a FOREVER home that can provide him with his daily medication to keep him seizure free. A veterinarian will have to closely monitor him while on medication to make sure it’s the right dose and helping as it’s intended…bloodwork periodically will be required as well. Since being on the medication he has been great and has blossomed into this happy spunky fun loving pup. Licker is around 5 years old, current on shots, now neutered (November 2021) and just a sweetheart…great size too. Maybe you have the most perfect loving FOREVER home for Licker?! Visit with him today & adopt him into your heart and home! If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. No need to shuffle the animals around any more than necessary. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated. It is VERY important to keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping them on a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention. These animals are counting on you as their owner to provide them with lots a love and the proper health care so PLEASE make sure you are aware and prepared before adopting. Owning a pet is an extra expense and responsibility but is so worth every minute and penny you invest in them. They will add lots of joy and unconditional love if given a fair chance. The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5, Sat. 10-4. Adopt a homeless pet and save a life. If you can not adopt right now come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home. In order to adopt any of our "bully breeds" there is special paper work that will need to be collected and approved prior to the adoption. We love all of our dogs and want to make sure to place our "bully babies" in homes best suited for them.

Story
2-year-old Beagle mix (likely Beagle/Bassett) Buddy is up for adoption and ready to steal some hearts! Buddy is a good-natured, gentle little guy. He is heartworm negative and has done well meeting other dogs. If you're looking for a smaller companion, our little Buddy is the boy for you! Buddy would make a great neighborhood walking companion and is just the perfect size for curling up on the couch.

Story
Looking for a gentle-natured, medium-sized canine companion? Our Beagle-mix boy Kobe is an absolute doll! We simply adore his sweet little smile! Kobe came to us as a stray, so we don't know his history. He has done well with dogs here, is very friendly, loves his treats and does well on a leash. He is also very likely housetrained - bonus! If you are looking for a lovable little hound (yes, he is also something of a crooner), Kobe would love to meet you!Kobe has tested positive for heartworms, but please do not let that keep you from adopting. Our nonprofit partner Paws 4 Purpose assists our adopters with the cost of treatment!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Really loyal almost 7 year old male beagle. He loves to go on walks, car rides, and to have his hair brushed. He is getting older, and his vision is getting worse. Was recently positive for heart worms and went through the necessary treatment. He is up to date on all shots. He sometimes gets aggressive toward my other dogs over food. He has to be fed separately. He needs a home where there are no other dogs, and with someone who can give him the attention he deserves. I am also developing an allergy to him. This was not an easy decision for me. I just want him to be loved!
