Story
Hi there, nice to meet you! Thank you for noticing a sweet beagle girl like me. I'm a darling pup who was recently rescued from an animal testing laboratory. Did you know that thousands of beagles-- innocent dogs just like me-- are used as test subjects in experimental research trials every year? Now that I'm safe with Beagle Freedom Project, I'm dreaming of finding a forever home! Little is known about my specific personality at this time, but the BFP Team believes that I'm a friendly dog who will do best in a home with another loving pup! I'll thrive with a patient and compassionate adopter who understands that I've never gotten to be a normal dog before, so I'll need lots of support as I navigate a big new world for the very first time! Could you be the family I've always hoped for? My ideal home: An adult-only household (older kids are OK!) with another friendly dog. My location: San Francisco, CA *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed directly above!* *Beagle Freedom Project facilitates out-of-state adoptions, provided the adopter is able to travel to the animal's current location for pickup.* If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/adopt/ Please email the Beagle Freedom Project Team with questions at: adopt@bfp.org. Story
Hi, I’m Alex! I am a gentle, sweet, and loving beagle girl who is SO ready to find her furever home. I can be a little shy at first, because I was rescued from the most heartbreaking case of abuse... I spent thirteen months living inside in a small, wooden rabbit hutch, with no humans around to give me any attention or affection. But, not that I'm safe, I'm learning every day what it means to trust humans and feel confident. I have so much love in my heart and am eager to be the most loyal and darling companion ever, and I really need a special and patient adopter who will help me keep coming out of my shell. I love treats, other dogs, playing outside, and taking cozy naps! Everyone says that they think I'll be a total cuddlebug once I've let my guard down. Every day, I realize more and more that the world is a beautiful place-- and that I belong here, and that there is someone out there who will love me more than anything! Could you be the person to give me the home I've always dreamed of? MY IDEAL HOME HAS: Another friendly pup! I love other dogs and they help me feel more confident! 📍 My Location: NOWATA, OK Please note: Third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. Story
Hi there! I'm Luna; a darling senior beagle girl. I'm a true sweetheart- I absolutely adore every person, and dog that I meet. I was recently surrendered to an animal shelter due to my human passing away, so not only was I sad I was also scared and confused. As soon as Beagle Freedom Project heard my story, they knew they had to bring me to safety! I know I'm older, but I still have so much love and joy to share. My friends say I'm like a little ray of sunshine! Could you make my golden years special and give me the furever home I'm dreaming of? I promise to be the most loyal and loving companion you've ever known! Thank you so much for considering making me a part of your family.

Hi, I’m Kramer! I was recently rescued from animal testing and am ready to start my new life. I’m energetic, food-motivated, and very sweet. I love staying busy and learning new things—especially if snacks are involved! I’ll need a little supervision around other dogs and when food or treats are around, but with guidance and structure, I’m eager to do well. I’ve got a lot of love (and energy!) to give and I’m excited for what’s next.
