Story
Foster Location: New Jersey Thunder was found as a stray during a thunderstorm (hence the name) and got a second chance when he was adopted from a local shelter. Unfortunately, his nose- and instincts- have gotten him into trouble. Thunder discovered that chickens are delicious and very exciting to chase, and his current home couldn't keep him because of it. He's friendly with people, does well with other dogs, and has been around kids from toddler age up through pre-teen. Cats, birds, and poultry are an absolute no unless it's for lunch. Thunder is smart, playful, and loves a ball and chew toys. He's right around a year old and has been doing so great in foster. He's gone from being a primarily outdoor dog to a guy who loves to be inside taking a nap on your bed, your couch, your lap, or wherever happen to be. His foster told us last week that he's the best dog they have ever fostered and they have been fostering since 1989!

Story
Bill has spent his whole life with one family, and it shows. He's confident, friendly, and completely unbothered by the world- the kind of dog who walks into a new situation like he's been there before. He's good with other dogs, good with kids of all ages, and enthusiastic about pretty much everyone he meets. He's got the basics down- housetrained, crate trained, can be trusted home alone, and had obedience training as a puppy. He's not a project dog. He's just a good, solid Beagle who needs a new place to hang out. A heads up on two things: he has a voice and he's not shy about using it, which is a Beagle's birthright. He also has some ongoing skin sensitivities that have been managed easily with veterinary support- nothing dramatic, just something a future adopter should know going in so it doesn't come as a surprise. Bill is looking for a home with room to sniff, other dogs to pal around with, and people who are ready to be loved on aggressively and without warning. If that sounds like your house, we'd love to talk.

Story
Hi, I'm Jackson! I may not be the first one to run up and introduce myself, but give me a little time and you'll discover what a sweet guy I really am. New people and unfamiliar situations can make me a bit nervous at first, so I appreciate patience and understanding while I get comfortable. One thing that helps me feel confident is having other dogs around! I absolutely love having friends and would be thrilled to have a dog buddy to show me the ropes. Whether we're playing, exploring, or just hanging out together, I feel happiest with friends by my side. My location: NOWATA, OK *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. Story
Hi, I'm Bowser! I'm a beagle boy looking for a patient and understanding forever family. I came from Ridglan Farms, where I didn't get any experience with the world outside of a kennel, so many things are still new and a little scary to me. Right now, I'm a very timid guy who prefers to take things slowly. I may not be the first dog to come say hello, but with time, kindness, and a little patience, I'm learning that people can be pretty wonderful. What I need most is a calm home where I can continue to build confidence at my own pace. Every day I'm making progress, and with the right family by my side, I know I'll keep blossoming. If you're willing to give a shy beagle a chance, I promise I'll be worth the wait. 📍 My Location: NOWATA, OK Please note: Third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. Story
Meet Rosie - a sweet beagle girl with a gentle soul who is learning that the world can be safe again. Rosie was recently rescued and is still very unsure of people and new surroundings. She is extremely anxious right now and needs a calm, quiet home with someone who understands that trust takes time. She may not be the kind of dog who runs up for cuddles right away, but with patience and consistency she has the potential to blossom. Her ideal home would be peaceful, predictable, and free from too much chaos or noise. She’s looking for a person who will celebrate the small victories (a tail wag, a curious glance, a moment of bravery) and give her the space she needs to come out of her shell at her own pace. 📍 My Location: DEXTER, MI Please note: Third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. Story
Ody & Penny: A Basset Package Deal Two hounds, one application. Ody and Penny are bonded littermates- a brother and sister who came as a set and intend to stay that way. They're around 14 months old, low to the ground, and built like the Basset blueprint- long ears, big paws, the works. At roughly 60 and 50 pounds respectively, they are a lot of dog without being a lot of height, which is a very specific and HIGHLY rated combination. Personality wise, they split the work. Penny is the greeter- she loves everyone, has never met a stranger, and would like to be cuddled immediately and continuously. Ody is more of a chill guy. He's a little standoffish with new people at first, takes a sec to size things up, and then decides you're acceptable. Having his outgoing sister around helps him feel brave, which is part of why they make such a good pair. Both are house trained, crate trained, good with young kids (ages 3 and 5), do great with other dogs, and reportedly have no beef with cats. Ody knows exactly one command, "spin," which he will perform with enthusiasm in exchange for food. They're dreaming of a home with some room to snuffle around, people who are into couch time, and someone who understands that adopting one means adopting two.

Story
Meet Finnagen. He, Ellie Bells, and Finnagen are a trio of basset hounds who came to us under the saddest of circumstances- Their owner passed away with no next of kin to take them in, and after two months with a kind neighbor who made sure they were cared for, they're ready for the next chapter. All three of them, together. They're a bonded trio- they're also literally a family. Ellie and Watson are 8 years old and they had a son together- Finnagen. He is now 5, and at this point in their lives the three of them are a package deal- and honestly, that's kind of the best part. You don't have to wonder if your new dog will get along with your other dog. You just get three hounds who already love each other and come as a set. They're friendly and curious with strangers, though they'll absolutely announce your arrival with a howl or two- they are basset hounds. They've been around a one year old without any issues, and they're curious rather than aggressive with cats. They're not highly socialized and may need some time to warm up to new dogs, but there's no aggression- just a little uncertainty that patience should sort out. These three have already been through a loss. They deserve a to stay together with someone who has the space and the heart to take all of them in. If that's you, we'd really love to talk. He would love to be placed with Ellie and Watson
