Meet the incredible Scout! This sweet soul was discovered at a common dumping ground, just trying to survive and find scraps of food in a world that didn’t treat him kindly. Luckily, we swooped in to rescue him and provide him the safety he desperately needs. Scout is about 30 pounds of pure heart and is estimated to be around 6-7 years old 🥰. Poor Scout has faced some tough circumstances, as he tested positive for heartworms. The good news is it was a low positive, so he’s been on Heartgard, since rescued! 🎉 Let’s keep our fingers crossed that by he’ll be heartworm negative very soon (usually takes a year in most cases). He is as sweet as pie, but Scout can be a little anxious/shy at first. He just needs a little time to trust and realize he's safe now! We’re committed to helping him feel secure and loved. Remember, this fella will require a fenced yard because hounds like him are notorious for following their noses into mischief! 🐕 Scout definitely needs a dog buddy in his home too. 🤩 His adoption fee is $100, which helps cover some of the costs like his neutering, vaccinations, microchip, flea prevention, and all the other goodies he enjoyed while with us. However, it's crucial that he stays on heartworm prevention for life. Gretel's Story Meet Granny Gretel! This girl is 11 years young and weighs in at 34 lbs. If you are looking for a couch dog, tv watching buddy that enjoys short walks and has great leash manners, this may be your girl! Gretel is house broken, and good in or out of her crate... unless you leave food at an available location.. She is good with other dogs but may do best avoiding living with a dominant dog as she is opinionated. Great with cats and hasnt met a stranger. Due to her advanced age, she may not be good around young children. Her only downfall is she may have some long term allergies. She responds very well to cytopoint and is perfect for baths. She had bad previous flea allergies and this may just be lingering itch. She is fully vetted. As you can see by the pictures she is a big couch potato and loves to snuggle indoors, especially on the couch with her human. Dolly is a beautiful beagle mix who just wants to snuggle and play. She is around five years old. We have had her since she was a year and a half. Dolly is shy around new people at first, and will bark at you, but very quickly warms up and wants all the pets. We previously had another dog and they got along great. We did feed them in different areas to avoid potential food confrontation. Dolly is diagnosed with Lyme disease but has never had any flare ups or issues. We are very sad to be looking for a new home for her, but we do not have the time to give her the love she deserves. My husband and I work very busy schedules as well as have a 16 month old son. We want to find a home that will love and adore her. Take her on walks. Play fetch with her and just let her be man’s best friend. I am happy to answer any other questions about this sweet girl.
