Story
✨ Meet Dan ✨ This sweet boy is about 4 years old and in rescue. He may be built like a little sausage roll with short legs, but his heart is as big as they come. 💙 Dan never misses a meal, and he never misses a chance to soak up love either. Dan is a Beagle mix, fully vetted (vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped), and he’s the perfect gentleman—dog friendly, people loving, and happiest when he’s snuggled up close. 🐾 Right now, Dan is enjoying life in a summer foster home, and his foster can’t say enough good things about him. He’s house trained, the sweetest couch potato, a total gentleman, and absolutely loves lounging in the A/C. ❄️🛋️ Before rescue, life wasn’t kind to him. He spent his days outside on a chain, never knowing the warmth of a hug or the joy of being part of a family. But despite his past, Dan has blossomed into the sweetest soul. Now, all he wants is to make up for lost time—with every cuddle, every belly rub, every ounce of love he can give. 🥹❤️ 📍 Location: Cleveland, TN 🚐 Transport: Available to other states 💰 Adoption Fee: $150 Could you be the one to show Dan what forever love really feels like?

Story
Meet the incredible Scout! This sweet soul was discovered at a common dumping ground, just trying to survive and find scraps of food in a world that didn’t treat him kindly. Luckily, we swooped in to rescue him and provide him the safety he desperately needs. Scout is about 30 pounds of pure heart and is estimated to be around 6-7 years old 🥰. Poor Scout has faced some tough circumstances, as he tested positive for heartworms. The good news is it was a low positive, so he’s been on Heartgard, since rescued! 🎉 Let’s keep our fingers crossed that by he’ll be heartworm negative very soon (usually takes a year in most cases). He is as sweet as pie, but Scout can be a little anxious/shy at first. He just needs a little time to trust and realize he's safe now! We’re committed to helping him feel secure and loved. Remember, this fella will require a fenced yard because hounds like him are notorious for following their noses into mischief! 🐕 Scout definitely needs a dog buddy in his home too. 🤩 His adoption fee is $100, which helps cover some of the costs like his neutering, vaccinations, microchip, flea prevention, and all the other goodies he enjoyed while with us. However, it's crucial that he stays on heartworm prevention for life. To adopt Scout, it's essential to apply through our website www.fureverfurkids.com and remember, we do home checks (either in person or virtually) to ensure every pet goes to the safest of homes! If you're serious about adding this adorable hound to your family Once a pet is adopted, they must come back to us if life circumstances change, so please be sure you're ready for a lifelong commitment! Thank you for considering Scout and his friends who are all in need of loving homes. 🏡

Story
Jud came to Crossville from a shelter in West Tennessee. He is a reserved gentleman who will require a patient human to allow him to come out of his shell at his own pace though. He will most likely need time to acclimate to life inside a home. He has just entered a foster home with an experienced Beagle couple, so we will have more to report on him before long. Have you ever met a beagle that wasn't sweet and fun though?5/16/26--UPDATE--Jud has been in our foster home for two weeks now. He is house trained in his foster home but may need watching while acuminating to a new home. He is quiet for a Beagle not barking at everything that moves. lol. He is not food motivated.which is unusual for a Beagle. The behaviors that are positives are he loves his large dog bed on the floor. He does not jump on people or furniture. He does not beg for food at the table. He loves his stuffed toys and cuddles with them at night. He likes other dogs, cats, children and women. He does back away from most men but shows no aggression. He is walked twice a day and we are working on his leash skills. He does get car sick at times so transport would not be an option. He also does not like being in a crate and will bark for quite a while if put in one. We have given him full run of our home with no problems. He is looking for a quiet home with a special person who will gain his trust. Once he is comfortable with his person and his home he will be the best boy ever!FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN.
