Hazelnut — 3 years old, 27 lbs They tell me I’m some kind of Hound/Beagle blend, but I prefer the term professional adventure specialist! I’m a happy, playful and energetic girl with plenty of classic hound-dog charm. I enjoy investigating interesting smells, following my nose and occasionally pretending I can’t hear you when I’m busy with a very important sniff. My ears may be listening, but my nose is usually in charge! I’m cheerful, curious and always ready for fun. Whether we’re exploring the yard, going for a walk or checking the kitchen floor for something you “accidentally” dropped, I’ll bring enthusiasm to the job. If you love happy dogs with big personalities, busy noses and a little harmless hound-dog mischief, come meet me. I’m Hazelnut—and life with me will never be boring!

Excuse me, new best friend, where are you going? 😂 Calla is extremely social, playful, happy, and outgoing, with that classic Beagle/Hound personality turned all the way up. She loves being part of the action and approaches life with her nose first and the rest of her following close behind. Like a true Beagle/Hound girl, Calla comes equipped with: 🐶 A professional-grade sniffer capable of detecting a treat you forgot was in your pocket three days ago. 🐶 Selective hearing — she can hear a snack bag open from another zip code, but “Calla, come!” may require further investigation. 🐶 A naturally curious and adventurous personality. If there’s something interesting happening, Calla feels strongly that she should be involved. 🐶 Plenty of playful energy and enthusiasm for fun. 🐶 That wonderfully friendly, affectionate Hound nature that makes her think the whole world was created specifically to provide her with friends. Calla is the kind of dog who walks into a room and immediately starts working the crowd. Welcome Cosmo to CCPAL Rescue. Cosmo is an Dachshund/Beagle is our best guess. He is about 18 pounds now and should be small sized full grown. We think 25 full grown. He is very sweet, has good eye contact and has a soft coat and down ears. He is active and the group is vocal but not over the top. He is one of the shyer pups and would be great for a family or person that is moderate to less active. He won’t be the social butterfly but will be a fantastic companion pet for someone. If a person is a quieter person wanting an easy and loveable pup that is content being with you, this is your match. A person that does not work all day every day for 5 days a week is the best for a puppy. Someone that can work from home some or has partial days or some days off to spend to help your new puppy acclimate is best. You need time to be with your puppy to socialize them and to finish off their puppy training. Cosmo was very easy to handle taking his photos and he wasn’t afraid of new people and liked being held. He sat on the table with confidence while we worked with him. He is getting daily attention and holding at the Rescue. He is getting his DHPP vaccinations and dewormed. He is good in his play group. He is kenneled in the evening and is learning to go potty on a wee pad. He is currently at the CCPAL Rescue in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. His adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.

She may be a little shy and quiet when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, her friendly and loving bubbly personality shines through. She’s the perfect blend of sweet, fun, and loyal—and she’s ready to bring joy to her forever home. She's playful, obedient, good with other dogs, loves her toys, and is a quiet girl.  Indi is still working on leash training, and would benefit from a house that has a yard for her to walk and run around, as well as a family to continue with her leash skills.  Adoption Fee: $300 Apply at: www.adoggie4you.org  This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. Whatever went into the recipe, they got this one RIGHT! Raelyn came to us from the border of Mexico with her sister, where this sweet girl had been living as a stray with very little chance of ever finding a home. And frankly, Raelyn had decided she was DONE with the whole stray-dog lifestyle. Scrounging for dinner? Over it. Sleeping wherever you can?
