Meet Sammie Lou! This adorable senior girl was surrendered to us after her owner passed away. She’s a 10 year old beagle/basset hound mix and she weighs about 48 pounds. She’s SUCH a sweetheart and she’s good with all people and other dogs. Meet Tom! He’s a 9 year old little tan beagle mix weighing about 35 pounds. He’s smaller than he looks in pictures! He’s super affectionate and sweet, and he loves kids. He’s fantastic with other dogs and loves to cuddle cats, too. Tom came to us because his owner became sick and unable to care for him. Tom is house trained and has good manners. Some folks might say that I came from a troubled past, but I prefer to live in the here and now. Upon my rescue I was thrust into the life of luxury and I’m eternally grateful. In my foster home, I’ve been described as the best boy. I have not had a single accident in the house, my recall so far has been top notch and I even get along with other dogs and cats. At only 6 months old, you would be shocked at what a gentleman I already am. While I haven’t been exposed to much leash training yet, I have been picking it up quickly. Beagles are known to be friendly, curious and intelligent, so are we surprised that I fit all of these amazing qualities? As a scent hound, my nose loves to wonder so I would appreciate lots of long walks to soak up all of the smells that this world has to offer. Lola is a gorgeous beagador. She is little over a year. She has some anxiety due to her being abused as a puppy. She needs help with that, it’s been a work in progress. She needs to get out and be active, get to interact with other dogs, and people. We’ve been trying to get her out of the bored barking/ barking at people knocking, but it is a process. She’s a very loving and affectionate dog, who loves attention and playing. We work a lot more than before, so tending to Lola is harder because we are away for so long and we don't believe that’s fair to her. I would like her to be adopted by someone who can tend to her needs, where I know she’ll be taken care of and be the most healthy and happiest girl dog ever.
