Story
Oh, Kat.. how we love this senior beagle. Kat was an owner surrender. It is estimated that she is at least 10 years old if not older! We don't wish to sugarcoat things; she is the epitome of an "old lady".. she has lumps and bumps all over. Her eyes are covered in cataracts. She has some teeth missing and she can't hold her bladder well these days. She's an itchy, scratchy hound. She grunts and grumbles. ...Yes, these things will surely run some off immediately, however, if you can look past her ailments, she is the most loving dog. She bonds with people and loves fiercely. Cuddling is by far her favorite activity. She will melt right into your arms. We've had Kat to the vet, and they actually feel quite hopeful for her! While she does have some growths, the vet feels that once she is spayed, they may decrease in size as they're possibly hormonal. We're not sure what the future holds medically for this girl, but we are willing to do everything we can to ensure she has the best future. Kat deserves to live out the rest of her days in a warm bed, surrounded by a family that gives her the world! The last thing we want is to see her die in this shelter. Please, someone give her a chance. Even a foster home would highly benefit her. If interested, come by the shelter and meet her at 513 Shelter Road, Fayetteville, WV 25840.
