Story
Please contact Pet (information@pethelpersinc.org) for more information about this pet.   This precious soul is Debbie. She is such a sweet girl with a gentle spirit. She is super shy at 1st and takes a little while to feel safe.  This poor girl must not have had a good past. When we had her spayed, she had a huge hernia that our vet was able to fix. She was in so much pain when we got her and now, we know why. She is healing well thankfully. We think Debbie is approx 6 or 7 years old and weighs around 26 lbs.  Debbie loves all the dogs in her foster home and has become very fond of her foster mom. With lots of patience and a kindhearted family she is going to absolutely thrive. Debbie has done wonderfully with housebreaking and is not being crated but tends to go in an open crate to chill out. Sweet Debbie is up to date on shots, microchipped, flea treated, wormed. She tested negative for heartworms but positive for Lyme. She is currently being treated with doxycycline.  . Definitely, definitely would prefer a home that is quiet, probably without small children, just because she is so shy.  Debbie is currently in foster care in Clarksburg, WV.  If you think your family is the perfect place for Debbie, please click on the following link to fill out an application: https://www.pethelpersinc.org/adoption-application/   Adoption Fees: PUPPIES (under 1 year) $250.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, age appropriate vaccines, heartworm/lyme test (if applicable), two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medicine and microchip. ADULT DOGS (over 1 year) $225.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, first set of routine yearly vaccines, heartworm/lyme test, two rounds of dewormer, one  round of flea medication, and Microchip. KITTENS AND CATS $100.00,   Includes spay or neuter,  vaccine according to their age, two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medication, felv/fiv test, and microchip.   For more information on this animal email adoptionisforever@pethelpersinc.org. Pet Helpers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foster based volunteer rescue located in Fairmont, WV.  We do adopt out of state to approved applicants, if you are willing to drive to WV to pick up your pet.  We do not fly or use transport companies.  Our adoption fee is $150.00 for mixed breed puppies and adult dogs, $225.00 for full blooded puppies and adult dogs and $50.00 for cats and kittens.  Regardless if the animal is a mixed breed or full blooded they are spayed/neutered prior to adoption IF they are old enough.  If they are too young at the time of adoption, then it is your financial responsibility to spay/neuter the pet by the age of 6 months and you must provide proof for our files that it has been done.  All of our pets are checked by a vet, given the shots appropriate for their age and any other treatment deemed necessary by the vet.  All of our pets are adopted as indoor pets and are not be outdoors tied to a box 24/7.  The pet you are adopting has been living in a home with a foster family.  You are expected to take possession of the pet you are applying for within a few days of application approval.  This will enable us to accept another pet into that home.  Because we are a rescue, and believe that spaying and neutering is crucial in stopping the reproduction of unwanted puppies/kittens and massive amounts of animals dying daily in shelters across the country, we expect any animal already in your home to be spayed/neutered. If for any reason you are unable to keep the pet you have adopted you are required to return them to Pet Helpers, Inc.  They are not to be sold or given away.   Check us out on Facebook!!!!!!  We hope you will give us two paws up, like our page and share with your friends.  Pet Helpers, Inc. Story
Meet Lark! Lark is a young female Beagle/Plott Hound mix, estimated to be around 7 months old, who has just arrived in our care. We’re excited to start getting to know this sweet girl! With her adorable hound features and expressive eyes, Lark is already capturing hearts. Since she is new to us, we are still learning about her personality, preferences, and how she interacts with people and other animals. As we spend more time with Lark, we’ll continue to update her profile with everything we discover. What We Know So Far • Breed: Beagle / Plott Hound mix • Gender: Female • Age: Approximately 7 months • Status: New arrival – still being evaluated We’ll share updates as soon as we have a better understanding of this young girl and the type of home where she will thrive. In the meantime, Lark is already showing us what makes hound mixes so lovable—curious, expressive, and full of personality. We’re looking forward to watching her settle in and reveal more of her unique character. Stay tuned for updates as we continue getting to know Lark!
