Story
From the moment I found her on the side of the road, it was clear she had the sweetest soul. She is an incredibly loving girl who adores cuddling on the couch, playing with her toys, and giving plenty of kisses. She has a gentle, affectionate personality and is happiest when she is close to her people. She would thrive in a home with attentive pet parents who can give her lots of love and attention. A fenced-in yard where she can safely run and play would be ideal. While she gets along with some dogs, she would do best as the only pet in the home so she can soak up all the love and attention. She is a loyal, sweet companion who will make a wonderful addition to a caring home.

Story
Meet Lark! Lark is a young female Beagle/Plott Hound mix, estimated to be around 7 months old, who has just arrived in our care. We’re excited to start getting to know this sweet girl! With her adorable hound features and expressive eyes, Lark is already capturing hearts. Since she is new to us, we are still learning about her personality, preferences, and how she interacts with people and other animals. As we spend more time with Lark, we’ll continue to update her profile with everything we discover. What We Know So Far • Breed: Beagle / Plott Hound mix • Gender: Female • Age: Approximately 7 months • Status: New arrival – still being evaluated We’ll share updates as soon as we have a better understanding of this young girl and the type of home where she will thrive. In the meantime, Lark is already showing us what makes hound mixes so lovable—curious, expressive, and full of personality. We’re looking forward to watching her settle in and reveal more of her unique character. Stay tuned for updates as we continue getting to know Lark!

Story
Our 3-year-old rescue Beagle had a rough start—he was found at 6 months old with a rope around his neck—but he has grown into a joyful, playful, and affectionate companion. Full of energy, he loves people (especially children), playing with other dogs, running laps, and enjoying his toys. He’s the life of the party and thrives on interaction and activity. This has been a very difficult decision, but due to increased work travel, we want him in a home where he can get the attention, exercise, and companionship he deserves. He would thrive in a fun, active home with people who can include him in daily life and provide plenty of playtime. Our priority is finding a stable, loving home where he can continue to grow, explore, and be a cherished family member.

Story
Please contact Pet (information@pethelpersinc.org) for more information about this pet.   Meet River – Our Special Little Beagle! This absolutely precious little beagle is River, and this girl has personality for days! She will make you smile every single day with her happy, joyful spirit.  River is approximately 6 years old and weighs around 17 lbs the perfect size for cuddles on the couch!  River is very special. She has a little wobble to her walk, which our vet believes is from an illness she had as a puppy. The important thing, she is perfectly healthy now! And her adorable wobbly walk does NOT stop her from having fun. She is truly a happy go lucky girl who loves everybody she meets.  Because of her wobble, River will need a home without stairs (she cannot safely come down them). A home with a fenced yard would be ideal so she can safely explore and enjoy her beagle adventures. She also absolutely loves having her person nearby to cuddle with!  River does wonderful with the other dogs in her foster home!  River is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, flea treated & dewormed, microchipped, and crates trained.  River is being fostered in Clarksburg, WV and is ready to find the loving home she deserves.  If you’re looking for a sweet, joyful, special little girl to fill your home with love and smiles, click on the following link to fill out an application: https://www.pethelpersinc.org/adoption-application/   Adoption Fees: PUPPIES (under 1 year) $250.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, age appropriate vaccines, heartworm/lyme test (if applicable), two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medicine and microchip. ADULT DOGS (over 1 year) $225.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, first set of routine yearly vaccines, heartworm/lyme test, two rounds of dewormer, one  round of flea medication, and Microchip. KITTENS AND CATS $100.00,   Includes spay or neuter,  vaccine according to their age, two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medication, felv/fiv test, and microchip.   For more information on this animal email adoptionisforever@pethelpersinc.org. Pet Helpers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foster based volunteer rescue located in Fairmont, WV.  We do adopt out of state to approved applicants, if you are willing to drive to WV to pick up your pet.  We do not fly or use transport companies.  Our adoption fee is $150.00 for mixed breed puppies and adult dogs, $225.00 for full blooded puppies and adult dogs and $50.00 for cats and kittens.  Regardless if the animal is a mixed breed or full blooded they are spayed/neutered prior to adoption IF they are old enough.  If they are too young at the time of adoption, then it is your financial responsibility to spay/neuter the pet by the age of 6 months and you must provide proof for our files that it has been done.  All of our pets are checked by a vet, given the shots appropriate for their age and any other treatment deemed necessary by the vet.  All of our pets are adopted as indoor pets and are not be outdoors tied to a box 24/7.  The pet you are adopting has been living in a home with a foster family.  You are expected to take possession of the pet you are applying for within a few days of application approval.  This will enable us to accept another pet into that home.  Because we are a rescue, and believe that spaying and neutering is crucial in stopping the reproduction of unwanted puppies/kittens and massive amounts of animals dying daily in shelters across the country, we expect any animal already in your home to be spayed/neutered. If for any reason you are unable to keep the pet you have adopted you are required to return them to Pet Helpers, Inc.  They are not to be sold or given away.   Check us out on Facebook!!!!!!  We hope you will give us two paws up, like our page and share with your friends.  Pet Helpers, Inc.
