Story
Meet Calvin!Calvin came to our shelter after being picked up by animal control in a neighboring town and going unclaimed. He is a sweet boy that we are estimating to be around 2 years old and he currently weighs around 45 pounds. While we do believe he could have some Hound in him there is definitely something else mixed in to give him his striking blue eyes and merle coat. Whatever his breed mix is he is definitely a handsome guy! Overall Calvin is very outgoing and seems to do well greeting everyone that stops to say hello to him. He could use some work on his leash manners and basic commands but that will all come in time once in a home with consistent training. Calvin would be the perfect fit for an active family that will take him on adventures to keep his nose and mind busy.Calvin is still new to our shelter and we are still learning about his likes and dislikes. If you are questions about Calvin please feel free to reach out to us or come meet him in person!Calvin's adoption fee is $200, and he is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, and will receive monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention while in our care. Story
Name: Yassi Age: 7 months Breed: Beagle/Terrier Mix Gender: Female Weight: 40 lbs Altered: Yes Crate Trained: Yes. She does well in her crate. When gone for extended periods of time, may have an accident but otherwise, doesn't mind her crate at all. Housebroke: MUCH BETTER! Not 100% but Yassi is a smart girl who learned very quickly and has not had an accident for some time. Good with kids: Yes, does great with kids. Good with dogs: Yes. She loves playing with the other dogs in the house and neighborhood dogs. Loves cuddling next to our pittie. Good with cats: Not sure. We do not have cats but I suspect she would be fine as she is great with our 9 lbs shitzu and is very gentle and submissive when he tells her to leave him alone. She has also met our neighbors cat and did totally fine. Did not fixate, was more interested in the kids and their dog. Foster location: Mequon, WI Fee: $250 that includes spay/neuter, monthly preventatives, deworming, age appropriate heartworm testing (or treatment) age appropriate vaccinations at the time of adoption, microchip and health certificate. Please apply for me at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HFAH/Dog (403644-DS) Due to the amount of no shows we are now requiring a $50 deposit. If you adopt this will come off your adoption fee. If you meet and it’s not a good fit you will be refunded. If you cancel or no show it’s non refundable. **Meet and greets for approved applicants must happen within 3 days or the closest weekend (for long travelers). It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Bio: Hello! Meet Yassi. Yassi made the long commute from an overcrowded shelter down south to start her new life. Yassi was so timid when first entering a home and suddenly experiencing scheduled walks, meals and LOVE. With time, she is warming up quickly and embracing her new life. She absolutely loves playing with other dogs. It's such a joy watching her throw toys around and smile when playing fetch outside. She has fallen in love with our 7 year old niece and LOVES to snuggle next to her. Yassi is timid when she meets new people, especially males. She needs an adopter who is patient and understanding and can give her time to gain their trust. Once she opens up though, she is all sweetness and kisses and is so loyal. She does well in her crate when we leave the house. She will join you on walks or jogs or hikes. She would do well in a home with other dogs or kids. If you are looking for a true companion, come meet Yassi! She is so excited to find her forever home!

Rowdy-Beagle/Terrier/mixed breed-male-neutered-1 year-60 pounds. Meet Rowdy! Isn`t he adorable?!? We think so! He came to CCHS as a surrender due to housing issues. Rowdy is a playful and energetic boy who adores attention and going for walks. His cheerful personality is truly infectious! He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with toys and indulging in treats. Rowdy knows a few commands like sit, stay, and come. While he`s a social guy, he can be a bit shy around new people at first, but once he warms up, he`s the life of the party! Apply to adopt at www.cchswi.org DATCP License #266742-DS
