Story
Meet Scooter! This handsome 1-year-old Beagle is looking for a patient adopter who will give him the time he needs to feel safe and loved. While he can be a little shy when meeting new people, especially men, once he trusts you, his sweet personality shines through. He'll happily follow you around the house, snuggle up for cuddles, and become your loyal best friend. Scooter loves being outdoors and enjoys walks, though his Beagle nose occasionally leads him on little sniffing adventures. He rides great in the car, is doing wonderfully with pottying outside, and gets along well with his two foster Beagle sisters. Once he's comfortable in his surroundings, he loves to play and have fun. Because he can be nervous around unfamiliar people, particularly men, he'll need a patient family that understands trust takes time. He may initially growl when a man enters the room, but with gentle, calm interactions and patience, he continues to make progress and will even accept pets when he's feeling comfortable. If you're willing to let this sweet boy move at his own pace, you'll be rewarded with a devoted companion who just wants a person to call his own.  can apply for this pup at: https://www.fetchfosterandrescue.com/adopt Name: Scooter D.O.B: 05/04/2025 Breed: Beagle Sex: Male Weight: 24.8 lbs Altered: Yes  Adoption Fee: 400 Good with kids: I'm not sure. Story
Meet Ouiser Boudreaux! (Pronounced Weezer, just like the band.)Named after the spicy, sharp-witted character from Steel Magnolias, Ouiser Boudreaux lives up to her name. This 7 month old Beagle puppy is equal parts sass, curiosity, comedy, and affection wrapped up in one adorable package.Ouiser is everything you would expect from a young Beagle. She is social, happy, confident, tenacious, and always looking for her next adventure. Her nose is constantly working, her attention span is delightfully short, and if theres something interesting nearby, she will probably investigate it. Like most puppies, shes still working on her house training skills and will need a family committed to continuing her training and setting her up for success. She loves other dogs, appears to be well-adjusted and friendly, and while cats are unknown, we dont anticipate any major concerns. Ouiser does experience some typical puppy separation anxiety and may be vocal when left alone, but shes not destructive. Give her a few toys, some mental stimulation, and something appropriate to keep her busy, and she settles in nicely.Because she is a vocal Beagle and an active young puppy, Ouiser will require a securely fenced yard and will not be considered for apartment, condo, or shared-wall living situations.Puppy training classes are strongly recommended. Not only will they help her learn good manners, but theyll also help build the lifelong bond every great dog-and-human team deserves.Important: Ouiser is scheduled to be spayed on June 30 and will not be available to go home until she has fully recovered from surgery. If youre looking for a funny, loving, spirited puppy who will keep you laughing, keep you moving, and love you with her whole heart, Ouiser Boudreaux may be your girl.Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Meet BirdieVibe Check:Retired from Ridglan Farms, wanting to forget what she has endured. Ready for the good life.Fun Fact:Her favorite place to sleep is on your head :)Rescue: Albert's Dog LoungeAge: AdultSize: MediumFostered in: Deforest, WisconsinBirdies Origin StoryLike all the beagles released from Ridglan Farm, Birdie has not had a life full of family, love, and socialization. She will need patience and understanding to make up for lost time.Health NotesShe is spayed and is fully up to date on her vetting. Birdies body shows the trauma of being caged for many years and she also has damage to her ears, which contributes to her being head shy and needing slow introductions.PersonalityBirdie has overcome a lot of trauma but is making strides in her newfound freedom. She is friendly with humans (because she is head shy she shouldnt live with small kids) but initially reactive to strange dogs and noises when out on walks. High energy, barking dogs feel scary and causes her to react. Birdie prefers to be with you as opposed to being left alone and might let out a bark or two when you first leave. She is very food motivated (classic Beagle) and should be fed alone to avoid resource guarding.Family MattersBirdie would love a calm home with a confident dog sibling to teach her how to be a dog. She has peacefully coexisted with other dogs in her foster home but is initially reactive when she hears/sees other dogs on her walks. Birdie has not been in a home with young children or with cats, but has enjoyed meeting new teenage human friends.Things Birdie LovesSnugglesFood!Mellow pupsBeing the center of attentionLetting her nose lead her on adventures (especially if food is involved!)Signature MoveBeing distracted by all the good smells she missed out on while in a cage. Meet ChanceVibe Check:Retired from Ridglan Farms, wanting to forget what he has endured. Ready for the good life.Fun Fact:No socks are safe, hes a real sock thief!Rescue: Albert's Dog LoungeAge: AdultSize: MediumFostered in: Stoughton, WisconsinChances Origin StoryLike all the beagles released from Ridglan Farm, Chance has not had a life full of family, love, and socialization. He will need patience and understanding to make up for lost time.Health NotesHe is neutered and is fully up to date on his vetting. He is currently eating a raw diet, and it is recommended that an adopter continue with this to ensure that his tummy remains stable. Many of the beagles that came out of RF had significant digestive issues for a while, and the raw diet seems to have stabilized that. The Ridglan beagles have been found to be prone to vaccine reactions. He will need to receive Benadryl 24 hours before and 24 hours after vaccines to prevent this going forward.PersonalityChance has overcome a lot of trauma in his newfound freedom. He is friendly but initially anxious around loud noises and fast movements. This curious pup prefers to be with you as opposed to being left alone. Chance is food motivated (classic Beagle) and isnt afraid to let out a reminder howl to share his frustration with late mealtimes. Hes excited when his foster family returns home.In public, he is still slightly jumpy with loud moises or large moving objects, but otherwise does wonderfully. He greets people with a slow approach and a wagging tail.Family MattersChance would love a calm home with a confident dog sibling to teach him how to be a dog. Chance is initially submissive with other dogs, engaging when comfortable. One caveat: He doesn't really understand social cues, as we are finding with many RF beagles. Your other pets, especially dogs, will also need to be dog friendly and tolerant.Chance has not been in a home with children but has been respectful of cats (may be curious initially).Things Chance LovesGiving and getting kissesFreeze dried treatsOther patient pupsStealing clothes out of your hamperFollowing his humansSignature MovePretending like hes not watching you but you both know hes watching you...Bucket ListLearning how to be a petFinding a new BFFHis own fluffy bedA dish that will always have enough healthy food to fill his bellyLots of walksSpace to sniff with that beagle noseA patient, loving family with soft hands and lots of love to offerA Few House RulesBecause these dogs have been through so much, it is our job as those entrusted with their care to be very thoughtful in their placement. She enjoys gutting stuffies like a pro.Rescue: Albert's Dog LoungeAge: AdultSize: MediumFostered in: Madison, WisconsinWillow's Origin Story:Like all the beagles released from Ridglan Farm, Willow has not had a life full of family, love, and socialization. She will need patience and understanding to make up for lost time.Health Notes:Willow is spayed and is fully up to date on her vetting. The Ridglan beagles have been found to be prone to vaccine reactions. She will need to receive Benadryl 24 hours before and 24 hours after vaccines to prevent this going forward.Personality:Willow is a brave, active girl. She has overcome a lot of trauma in his five weeks of freedom. She will need help learning how to leash walk, and enjoys playing with her doggy foster siblings. She is remarkably adaptable, and would thrive in a home where she is included in daily life. She is getting better at accepting human companionship, but will need to be approached slowly and at her level. She is definitely more comfortable with women. While she is still people-shy, she warms up to adults. We believe she would also be good with and respectful, older children. She is excited when you return home from being at work. She gets along well with other friendly dogs, and loves to play with them, and currently lives with two dog friendly cats.Family Matters:Willow would love a confident dog sibling. Her foster siblings are a great source of happiness for her, and she will continue to need this going forward. When she is ready, she will put her paws on you, and will even stand on you, but it will take time for her to trust you. An adopter will need to be calm, patient, and understanding as she continues to learn to be a dog.Things Willow LovesToysAffection, but on her termsSniffy yard patrolsCalm visitors, especially if femaleWarm weatherLife outside a cageSignature Move:Looking at you with those big, sweet eyes and making your heart meltBucket List:Learning how to be a petHer own fluffy bedA dish that will always have enough healthy food to fill her bellyLots of walksSpace to sniff with that beagle noseA patient, loving family with soft hands and lots of love to offerA Few House Rules:Because these dogs have been through so much, it is our job as those entrusted with their care to be very thoughtful in their placement.
