Story
I got him at 3 months old, he was an amazing puppy only had two accidents. Never chewed anything up super smart learned so much. However we had another dog who's older, she passed away just before COVID everything changed. My dogs anxiety got far worse, and then we moved houses and it didn't get better. He bit my father several times (however my father was abusive towards me and him). He would grow out almost everybody that lived in the house. However he was great with visitors and people outside the house. He did go after the other dogs that were in the house a number of times. But he never made them bleed or hurt them. I can redirect my dog when he is growling get him to go out to sit to go into a different place. But he needs someone who can understand him. He was medicated for a long time but the meds I felt were making him worse to the vet and I weaned him off of the meds. He got better but he's not perfect he still takes meds for loud noises such as fireworks. He's my baby.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Atticus! Atticus is a 2-year-old, 51 LB Berger Picard/Briard mix — yes, you read that right, fifty-one pounds! Though he may look like a scruffy little terrier in photos, Atticus is actually a medium-sized herding dog with the brains, energy, and drive to match! True to his breed mix, Atticus is active, bouncy, and intelligent. He can be very sweet and affectionate, but he thrives when he has a job to do and clear direction from his handler. This boy will need an adopter with herding or working breed experience who understands his needs and can provide him with the structure, leadership, and mental and physical stimulation he requires. Without that, his herding instincts can come out in the form of nipping or redirecting frustration onto his handler. Atticus would do best in a more rural or suburban home, away from the noise and chaos of city life. A standalone home with a securely fenced yard is a must — no apartments or condos for this active boy. He has done well with some other dogs, but he will need slow introductions and an experienced handler to guide him. We recommend an adult-only home for him and no cats. With the right match, Atticus will be an amazing partner — energetic, fun, loyal, and incredibly rewarding to work with! Atticus is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.

Story
Meet Cassidy! She is gorgeous, 1 year old, 30 lb, Idaho Shag/Airdale mix. Cassidy is an extremely intelligent, driven young dog who needs a very knowledgeable home. She is not a beginner dog and is best suited for someone with real experience handling working and herding breeds. Cassidy is the kind of dog who wakes up ready to work. The first thing she wants to do every day is go outside—and the moment she does, she immediately finds herself a job. She is constantly observing, thinking, and engaging with her environment. This is a dog with a sharp mind and strong instincts who needs both mental and physical outlets to thrive. Cassidy requires a handler who understands herding-dog behavior and can read canine body language and expressions before situations escalate. She is highly perceptive and very, very smart—living with her means staying mentally engaged and proactive as a handler. She has a strong prey drive and is not a good fit for homes with children or small animals. Cassidy will do best with: • A confident, experienced handler • Someone familiar with working and herding breeds • A job (training, structured work, sport, ranch tasks, or purposeful daily engagement) • A home outside of the city • A standalone house with a fully fenced yard • No apartments or condos Structure, leadership, and purpose are essential for her success. Cassidy has incredible potential in the right hands. She is looking for someone who doesn’t just want a dog—but wants a thinking partner and understands that for dogs like her, a job isn’t optional. Cassidy will thrive with an experienced handler who can give her structure, purpose, and a life where her intelligence and drive are fully valued. She is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.
