Myers (A564918) arrived as a stray and is now patiently waiting for his forever home. He was a bit shy at first, but once he settled in, his personality really started to shine. Now we’re seeing a playful, sweet guy who just needed a little time to feel safe.One thing you should know right away… Myers LOVES treats. Milkbones, hot dogs, snacks you didn’t even realize you were carrying, he’s interested. He knows exactly how to deploy those puppy dog eyes to get what he wants. Consider yourself warned. Myers walks pretty well on a leash and takes corrections nicely. He already knows “sit” and “down,” which shows just how willing he is to learn and work with his person. He’s playful and enjoys romping around when he’s feeling comfortable. He has tested well with another male dog, but he may need slow, thoughtful introductions, as he can get a bit overwhelmed at first. With time and patience, he can be friendly and playful with canine companions. Myers is a sweet, fun loving dog who just needs someone willing to give him a little grace as he adjusts. In return, he’ll give you loyalty, laughs, and probably try to steal your snacks. Come meet him today Myers is guesstimated to be 1 year old and weighs 52 lbs. All dogs adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, dewormed, appropriately vaccinated, and receive a topical 90-day flea/ tick preventative.Ready to meet Myers? Just stop by our shelter and head to our dog areas. You can find him in kennel D80. All adopters must be 19 years or older with a valid ID.
