GSD/Husky/Lab/Catahoula mixFour year old Dexter W. is a mixture of Labrador, GSD, Husky and Catahoula. His former owner’s parents have recently taken him in and he is just too much dog for them. They describe him as “a fun, smart and energetic companion. He loves to be near us and is a loyal best friend who loves to play.”  They believe he would be best with a family with older children or a family of young adults because of his energy level.  He has never been around cats. My name is Krissy and I'm a 1.5-2yr old female Shepherd mix. I am located near Nashville TN and will be available for transport. Quick Facts: Age - 1.5-2yrs old Kids - will do fine with older kids (12+) Dogs - good with other dogs Cats - NO cats Training - needs full obedience training 1. I came into the rescue from a bad situation, very pregnant, desperate for a safe place to have my babies. Thankfully my foster mom is amazing and gave me & my puppies a safe home! All puppies have been adopted, now it's my turn. 2. Being an empty nester, I'm ready to live my best life! Raising a litter of puppies is a lot of work. I'm ready to be with a family who will love me, play with me, and treat me as one of their own. 3. I'm working on house & crate training, it's going well. Please be patient with me as I'm still learning and I will need to adjust to a new home once adopted. 4. I'm a smart girl and want to learn how to be very well behaved. Will you paw-promise to train me in obedience? I will catch on quick if you have treats! 5. I play great with other dogs and would love a pup friend in my next home. 6. If you are not 100% ready to adopt, please wait** ************** ***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION*** -ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted -We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply -All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered -Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter -An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog -Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY -Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications -All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time -Not able to adopt?
