Story
We have an 11 month old full blooded rottweiler. His name is Prince. His birthday is September 19th. He is current on all shots and rabies. He has also been neutered at 10 months. Fully house trained. As long as he has toys he does well. Very kind spirited, gets excited for car rides, loves treats, but has to be sedated for nail trimmings. He has been kenneled but typically we leave him out to free roam. He prefers his tempur-pedic bed which we will go with him.He doesn't have any separation anxiety but obviously likes to tag along. He's done well with other dogs, but hasn't been around any cats. He has grown up on a farm and doesn't need leashed but has done well on one when not at home. If interested in Prince please include your phone number so we can contact you and please complete the application. strayhearts7@outlook.com https://forms.gle/suhbpui9RXiVmvoJ9

Story
Amazing Ava is a friendly girl that is true blue loyal, kind, easy-to-train, and a gentle giant of a girl. She is fun to have around, calm, and a great partner for playing in the yard.  She would be a fabulous hiking friend and she is described as a great all around personality by her foster mom who certainly knows great dogs.  These are the stats and highlights that make her a great dog.  Amazing Ava is a gorgeous young girl that is just 18 months old, weighs 80 lbs, and is gloriously housetrained! If you are looking for a dog that is ALWAYS IN A GOOD MOOD….she is your girl.  She loves walks and hikes and is game for whatever adventure you want to start on.   Ava gets along well with other dogs and excellent with children.  We call this girl a Rottador, her mother is a Rottweiler and father is a labrador retriever.  Ava would make the best family dog you will ever want.   It is not the outside look of a dog but the inside sweetness and temperament of a dog that garners the brownie points in life.  She is a KEEPER!  She has been spayed, UTD on vaccinations and a very healthy girl.  If you are interested in adopting the best dog you could ever own then Amazing Ava is the girl!  Contact us at Critter Cavalry Rescue by emailing to ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 21, 2023, 1:14 pm

Story
Smiling Sadie is a beautiful representation of a 5 year old purebred Rottweiler! Her previous owner allowed her to roam freely, so she has had multiple litters of puppies and was recently spayed but when she was dropped off at the vet office, the owner never returned to get her.  This poor girl was abandoned and now we are trying to help her find a good home.  Smiling Sadie deserves a loving forever home where she can be spoiled rotten for the first time in her life!  What we know about this girl is that she a FUN DOG, goofy and she loves to play fetch the ball.  A home with children over 10 yrs is best due to her size and energy.  She has shown a ton of improvement with socialization while in foster care and can be considered for a home with other dogs that are large and share her energy level and play style.  A meet and greet will be required first.  No Cats or small animals should be in the home.  We just cannot say that we trust her with the small creatures.  If you are out of state we can adopt to you, but not if you have other pets or dogs.  She could easily be an ONLY dog but if she goes on a trial run in Tennessee, she is close enough for a return if things don't work out.  She is pretty good on a leash and almost housebroken.  She is a strong girl that is loving and just wants some attention. PLEASE EMAIL AT ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 21, 2023, 1:14 pm

Story
If you are interested in ROXIE or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached. In addition to being beautiful, ROXIE is an amazing dog. She is smart as a whip and driven by love. She is the most appreciative dog her foster family has ever had. She melted in her mom’s arms the first night she got there, looking at her with the sweetest eyes and just saying thank you. She always aims to please, which will definitely make training easier and more fun! ROXIE adores children and is fabulous with other dogs! She shares her foster home with many different resident dogs. She has been excellent with all of them and is happiest when with them. Therefore, she will only be able to go to a home that has at least one other canine member. She saves all her love for dogs and humans leaving none left for kitty cats. Her forever home will not have feline family members. ROXIE is both house and crate trained. She is a good car passenger and walks well on a leash. She can be timid at first, but she warms up quickly. ROXIE is a loyal companion who is happiest when she is near her foster family. Woof River requires applicants to have rottweiler or other large dog experience in order to be considered for adoption. If you are lucky enough to have sweet ROXIE take a piece of your heart into her paw, she will hold on to it forever! To see even more pictures of ROXIE, please copy and paste the following link into your browser: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/s0hj134fwixmg1chqqje1/h?rlkey=gus0t6smzxnibfedc21229jfs&dl=0 ROXIE is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations. Her $540 adoption fee covers her interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the New England area. For an adoption application on ROXIE click here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- ROSA IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW. Rosa is a mature adult Rotteweiler who may be 7-9 years old and weighs about 90 pounds. Even though Rosa was missing some hair and hasn't been taken the best care of, someone taught her how to sit and shake hands. She's a sensitive girl who was been upset by losing her family and is comforted by the presense of her foster mom. She would even happier in her very own home with a new family!Rosa is a strong girl who will need a physically capable adopter as she can pull pretty hard on leash. She has been reactive to other dogs and cats in her foster home so being an only child will set her up to be the most successful! We know there are so many great people out there how love rotties! We just need to find one that will give Rosa the happy ending we want for her!A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Rosa, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other 'slow to adopt' dogs!Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. 🎀 ROSIE🐾 Rosie was around 2 months old when her foster fam was told about her. She was tied up in the backyard with a large leash about three feet attached to her collar; they were informed by a concerned neighbor that she cried all night and day. She was a BABY put out like she was garbage🥺 Rosie is now thriving, a pure loving puppy, growing by the second, LOVES to be loved on, tummy rubs AND playfully plays with the other dogs, which are seniors. 🐾 🌸 She is a little bit mischievous but very smart, thus quick to learn. She loves playing with everybody’s toys, her emotions and thoughts are clearly expressed on her face, and she is just so beautiful and goofy!😆 Rosie is as ball of energy, a large breed puppy, but respectful with her size. She has been working hard to learn to walk on a leash, basic obedience commands, crate training, housebreaking, and general manners! She is great with kids, cats and dogs, because they are for the playing. 🐶 Rosie is LOVED and deserves the most perfect forever family. Is it you?🏡 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama, Pennsylvania and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!

What`s the dream of every dog? Being such a good boy, that staff knows you under the name Good Boy! Meet Rocco, aka Good Boy. Rocco came to us by the beginning of the year, with some injuries that needed immediate vet care. He was a constant visitor in the vet suite, and behaved so well that vet staff gave him his nick name. His injuries healed well, and now he is looking forward to find his forever home. So if your looking to adopt a Good Boy, don`t look any further!Rocco would do best as an only pet, that way he can soak up all of your love!

Story
I've had a long journey to get to FOHA. I found myself getting here from South Carolina, and numerous stops along the way. I came in heartworm positive, but my friends at FOHA helped me recover and I am now 100% cured! I love car (or truck) rides. I like other dogs with proper introductions. I never met a trail that I did not want to explore. I can be a bit shy at first, but then turn on that southern charm. I meet everyone at my kennel with either a toy in my mouth or my food bowl. I am so happy to show them off to everyone. I have a full body wiggle when my favorite people are coming to get me out for a walk. I need an experienced owner, as I am leash reactive (yup, I can lunge!) and I need to be introduced to strangers slowly. But once I trust, I will enjoy cuddling in your lap. If you are willing and able to put the time into training me I will be sure to do my best to learn. Not good with kids,
Story
Hello there! I'm Samson! I have had many FOHA friends take me for walks and even on vacations! My joy: is carrying sticks of any kind. I relish every twig, stick, and even large logs. I also love water. I will not miss an opportunity to swim in numerous puddles, creeks and streams - sometimes enjoying both my stick and the water at the same time. I would love to be with an active owner. I can go miles of hiking and still entertain myself with sticks. After such outdoor activity I relish being in a home. I am completely housebroken. I can be very affectionate - often following my humans around the house, jumping on their laps, and drenching their faces with kisses. I sleep soundly through the night on my bed. My ideal forever family would be a family who has dog experience. I would do best in a home without children and I would thrive as the only dog. My dream come true would to live in a home with a fenced yard. With a yard of my own I could happily spend my days entertaining myself with a giant Jolly Ball! I am currently up for adoption patiently waiting for a forever home. Please consider making me a member of your family. Write up and drawing below thanks to Mrs. McDermott's 2nd Grade Class and their Nonfiction Research Project. Samson is sponsored by Kristen Kimmel: In honor of Mike & Cristi Kimmel, for loving dogs so well and inspiring us to rescue and love our own Samson. Samson is sponsored by Megan Conboy: In honor of Bill Briggs. Check out all of the dogs available at Friends of Homeless Animals! https://foha.org/pet-adoption/find-a-dog/

Story
Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Hagerstown MD or Quicksburg VA. Rooster is fostered by our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Please send an email to 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting this good puppy. If you are on Facebook, PLEASE visit and LIKE our page: www.facebook.com/2ManyDogsRescue
