They call me Hoot because I like to use my pretty singing voice to get your attention. At 9 years old, I`m a pretty chill guy. I like to sniff around and then sleep in a comfy bed. I like short walks and human attention, but I still like my independence. I have a lot of friends here at the shelter! I have been known to hang out at the front desk and greet all the people coming in and out. If you think your home might be the place for me to spend my golden days, come to the shelter and meet me!

Story
My name is Amory. I was rescued from a breeding operation where I was found neglected, used for profit and then forgotten about. Miami Valley Pit Crew heard about me when one of their shelter partners reached out for help. MVPC swooped in and decided to bring me in until the most perfect home could be found. I am a stunning lady, but don’t let my looks fool you, I love to get down and dirty like any good GSD does. I keep my crate clean and dry, and as long as I’m kept on a schedule, won’t have any accidents in my home. I would love an active family with a big yard to patrol. ADOPTION FEE: $350 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes! DOGS IN HOME: Yes, can be solo CATS: No, I will chase! CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over Adoption radius is 75 miles from Dayton, OH I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $350 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response. PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!
