Story
At 16 years old, Sunshine Machine is the definition of a gentle old soul. With his soft curly coat, soulful eyes, and heart-melting cuddles, this poodle mix is a sweet reminder of how special senior dogs truly are. Sunshine has been diagnosed with Cushing's Disease, and while it's a serious condition, he's shown some signs of improvement since starting treatment. His lab work came back mostly normal, which gives us hope—but he’s still navigating some bumps in the road. His body is adjusting to medication, and while it’s helping with some symptoms (like frequent urination), it’s also caused some difficult side effects—nausea, vomiting, constipation, and a loss of appetite. Right now, Sunshine needs someone who can provide patient, loving care while he figures out what works best for his body. He is struggling with eating and may need to be force fed. It’s a delicate balance—but one filled with potential, if the right person can help him through this next stage of his journey. Despite it all, Sunshine Machine still lives up to his name. Once he’s comfortable, he loves short walks, gentle play, and curling up right next to you for a snuggle. He has so much love left to give—it just takes someone willing to slow down and walk alongside him.

Story
Meet Lady PabloShe's been recently paired with a couple of sweet makeover agents, her foster parents, who along with the sponsored care she receives from her friends at ClassicCaninesATX, are restoring her body and spirit. She had been left behind in the washroom of an apartment building, heavily matted into a large fur ball. We don't believe she was ever left outdoors. Someone taught this sweet baby love, they simply did not have the ability to care for her. She's spayed and heartworm negative. Her weight is perfect. Her matts have been shaved off and for the first time in years she is walking on her real paws, she can feel wind on her skin, her body is capable of full stretches, she can run and fully "feel" again. With that comes time to adjust to her new body and touch, requiring understanding, patience and light management by her VIPs. She loves love and has a spirit that will warm your soul, but can be subject to occasional startles--her body is new to her..Lady Pablo seems to be very content near cats. She's had limited engagement with dogs and seems to mostly co-exist, although we think she would prefer to have all of the people attention for herself. Her ideal person or people will have some experience with small dogs that need a little extra help and guidance in life, It's her turn to catch up for all the years she's lost out on.Interested in learning more?Click on her link to reach her foster parents. Primary Color: Black Weight: 17 Age: 13yrs 1mths 3wks

Story
Gus has displaced due to his prior owner's dementia. He had been with her since she got him as a puppy back in 2017. I am currently fostering this adorable little goofball and I must say I've never had a dog so absurdly happy to see me. About: * Great on a martingale leash while walking. Minor tugging for smells, but does not jump or bark at other dogs or people when passing. * Will sleep in his bed, kennel, or on the couch when things are quiet. Will bark at doorbell, but is otherwise very chill. * Will let you know when he needs to go to the bathroom. * Good in the car. Will quietly sit on a seat. * Very food motivated. Will take to training if consistent. Already knows where to wait and sit to have his leash put on to go outside. * I am able to bathe him easily without issue. Only a little afraid of the dryer. * Nervous in indoor public places like PetCo. Will bite groomer, vet. Needs to be muzzled. * Scared of new people but warms up fast.
