Story
Approximate Age: 1 year Approximate Weight: 30lbs Meet Piper! 🐾Prefers to potty outdoors, only accident inside was in the first 24 hours at fosters home. 🐾Great with small children, dogs of all sizes and large livestock. 🐾Cat and chicken curious- likely would do good with proper introductions. She’s easy to correct to leave it but they seem to be a new thing to her. Foster feels this will become normal with time to her. 🐾Behaves so well at bath-time, just stands there for ya. 🐾Crates quietly with minimal whimpers when in the same bedroom as her people- tho she’d prefer to sleep with you. 🐾Likes to carry around stuffies and is past the destructive puppy phase. 🐾Needs some help with learning not to take human food but already she’s been night and day better with this. 🐾Walks beautifully on a leash and has a good recall. 🐾Overall a quiet gal unless someone knocks at the door. 🐾Does best on a seafood protein. 🐾Still learning that food is not a scarce resource anymore. Piper has lunged to chase off other dogs from a food source but never people. However she’s being corrected and is learning quickly that is not the way we want her to behave. 🐾Knows Sit and Down. 🐾Car rides are all new to her but she’s very easygoing and has done well maybe even getting excited soon for them. Overall she’s a quick learner who’s eager to please and very adaptable to home life! ********************************************************************* Schedule a meet-and-greet by completing our Adoption Survey on the Adopt page of our website at https://www.olddominionhumanesociety.org/adoption-survey. Story
Approximate Age: 3 years Approximate Weight: 57 lbs Meet Sir Snow-A-Lot! ❄️🐾 🐶 Bouncy, sweet goofball with BIG puppy like energy — I’ve got hops and silly manners to match 🏠 I marked a bit inside my first night in foster, but the next morning I was a very good boy 🐱 I’m VERY interested in cats… I just want to play! The cats might not agree 😅 🎓 I correct easily and really want to please — a firm NO helped stop the leg-lifting 🧠 I know sit and lay down, and sometimes I even bring the ball back like a pro 📣 I can be whiny and vocal in my crate, but I do settle once I burn off some energy ❤️ I live for pets and attention 🦮 I pull HARD on leash — I’m a big boy and need someone strong and committed to training 💨 My zoomies are legendary, so little kids or inexperienced handlers be aware ❄️ Sir Snow-A-Lot: big heart, big body, big personality — ready for the right home to help me shine 🤍 You can still come adopt me or even join our foster program to help the humans learn all the awesome things about new dogs like me!
