Maverick is a 5-year-old German Shepherd that has unfortunately been bounced around through several homes before arriving at the shelter. He is a sweet guy that will need a home without other dogs, cats, or kids. He will also need a home that has shepherd experience. He knows sit and will work for treats! He is a loyal guy and once you are his person you have a best friend for life! Maverick is good for his exams, but he does not like his feet being touched, he does need to be muzzled for nail trims. Maverick would love to find his loving forever home soon where he can settle down and not worry about where he will end up next! Xena was surrendered to the shelter when her owner sadly passed away. She is 11 months old and has only known one home in her life, so it took a little while for her to adjust to shelter life. Xena can be aloof with new people and will possibly need several visits with potential adopters to form a bond before going home with them. She will need someone that is familiar with the Elkhound breed and can work with her on socialization. Xena would love to have a second chance at a loving forever home soon!
