Meet Archie - A Diamond Dog Ready for His Happy Ending Hi there, I'm Archie! I'm an approximately 5-year-old male German Shepherd mix who was found near Ridge Road by Goodwill on 11/05/2025 with a friend, but sadly no one ever came looking for us. Even so, I've kept my heart open and I'm still hoping my forever family is out there. I've officially become a Diamond Dog, which means I've been patiently searching for my forever home for over 90 days. In fact I have been at the shelter for 107 days as of 02/20/26. To help me find that happy ending, my adoption fee has been reduced to $75. I may have started out a little unsure, but those days are behind me. Now I truly enjoy being around people and love spending time with my humans. Whether it's gentle pets, relaxing by your side, or just being part of your daily routine, I'm happiest when I'm close to the people I love. I seem to get along well with female dogs, and while I haven't yet met kids or cats, I'm open to new adventures with proper introductions. If you already have a dog at home, a meet and greet is encouraged so we can make sure we're a good match before heading home together. I appear to be both house trained and crate trained, though like any dog settling into a new environment, I'll do best with patience, consistency, and a predictable routine to help me feel secure. My $75 Diamond Dog adoption fee includes my neuter, microchip, and core annual vaccines. I did test heartworm positive, but my treatment is fully covered thanks to the incredible support of Rockwall PAWS, so my future family won't have to worry about that expense.
