Story
Meet Chevy! Chevy is the most handsome 8 year old pup you will ever lay your eyes on! And he’s got the brains and personality to match! Which to be honest doesn’t always happen haha. He was surrendered by his family to the shelter with his brother. His brother was adopted but Chevy found himself left behind and set to be euthanized for space. When we saw he only had a few hours left we busted him out and I’m so glad we did. Chevy is going to make a family so incredibly happy one day. He is truly a unicorn dog. Going through our temperament evaluation there’s typically a few little things that come up…. Not with Chevy though. Every test we through his way he passed with flying colors. Truthfully it’s almost been a bit boring but he is certainly 100% good boy certified! -Good With Other Dogs. Has an “all out” play style. -Very Sweet and submissive with people. -House/Crate Trained -Leash/Obedience Work We Are Currently Working On. Definitely Had No Work Prior. -Demands belly rubs and he’s cute enough to where you will cave in and give them. -Lower drive GS -High Energy and social would be a great adventure buddy We do not ships dog out of state. All adopters must travel to Dallas to meet their potential animal in person before moving forward with an adoption trial run.

Story
Meet Archie – From Homeless to Homebound Archie is an approximately 5-year-old German Shepherd mix who is ready to leave his past behind and finally step into the life he deserves. Once found running stray and never reclaimed, Archie has spent 206 days waiting as of 05/31/26 for someone to choose him. Now a Diamond Dog, his adoption fee has been reduced to just $75- but the love and loyalty he offers are priceless. Archie's story is one of quiet resilience. When he first arrived, he was a little unsure of the world around him. But with time, patience, and care, he has truly come into his own. Today, Archie is a loving, people-focused companion who enjoys being close to his humans, soaking up attention, and simply sharing space with those he trusts. He has a calm, steady presence that makes him the perfect match for someone looking for a loyal best friend rather than a high-energy puppy. Archie appears to be both house and crate trained, making his transition into a home even smoother. Archie does well with other dogs and especially prefers female or calm, respectful companions. He enjoys peaceful coexistence and would thrive in a home that matches his relaxed, easygoing nature. A meet and greet is recommended to ensure the best fit. Archie is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. He is heartworm positive, but his treatment is sponsored by Rockwall PAWS-giving him every opportunity to return to a happy, healthy life. After months of waiting, Archie is ready to trade the uncertainty of being homeless for the comfort of being homebound- safe, loved, and finally where he belongs. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will quietly steal your heart and never let go, Archie is waiting to meet you. Muñeca is a 1-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix weighing approximately 53 lbs who is ready for a fresh start with a patient, committed family. She was found as a stray and is still building confidence, but she continues to grow more social and comfortable each day. Muñeca is sweet-natured, good with children, and gets along well with other dogs. She may benefit from having a confident canine companion in the home, and a meet and greet is recommended for households with other dogs. Muñeca would not be a good match for a home with cats or other small animals. She is very smart and has already made great progress with leash walking. With consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement, she has all the potential to become a confident, well-mannered companion. Muñeca is spayed, microchipped, current on rabies and core vaccinations, and has tested heartworm positive. Thanks to Rockwall PAWS, her treatment is fully sponsored. Muñeca is a Diamond Dog as of 04/28/26 after 90 days in care, and her reduced adoption fee is $75. Story
Meet Montana — a 2-year-old Shepherd mix weighing 56 lbs who is beginning his journey toward healing and a better life. Montana was surrendered when his previous owners were unable to properly care for him. At intake, he had a large laceration around his neck caused by a collar that had been too tight for far too long. He is currently receiving treatment and is already on the road to recovery — both physically and emotionally. Despite everything he's been through, Montana is a sweet soul who simply hasn't had the chance to learn what being a dog is all about. As he continues to decompress and gain confidence, we will update his bio with more details about his personality. For now, he is walking decently on a leash and will need a patient, loving family committed to helping him heal and discover the good life he deserves. Montana is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccine, and boosters are up to date. He is heartworm positive, but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, his treatment is sponsored so he can get back to living a healthy life as soon as possible. Due to his condition at intake, we have not paired Montana with other dogs yet. If you have dogs in the home, a meet and greet will be required prior to adoption to ensure a good match. Adoption fee: $125 If you are interested in adopting Montana, please complete an online adoption application: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
Meet Bear Bear is a 3-year-old German Shepherd mix (52 lbs) who is ready for a fresh start after being surrendered. While change hasn't been easy for him, Bear is slowly showing just how sweet and gentle he truly is. He can be a little shy at first, but with patience and a calm approach, his personality begins to shine. As he gets more comfortable, Bear warms up and enjoys being around his people. He has been friendly with staff, walks well on a leash, and already knows how to sit- he's just waiting for someone to help him continue building his confidence. Bear does well with other dogs, and a meet and greet is always recommended for homes with existing pets to ensure the best fit. He would thrive in a calm, patient home that will give him the time, understanding, and encouragement he needs to fully come out of his shell and feel secure. In the right environment, Bear has all the potential to become a deeply loyal and loving companion. Bear is neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $125. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal dog and are willing to give him the time he deserves, Bear could be the perfect match. Story
Bodhi is an approximately 18-month-old male German Shepherd mix weighing around 72 lbs who is ready to find his forever home. He was found off Horizon Road near Rockwall Custom Frames and was never reclaimed. Bodhi is a friendly, social boy who enjoys being around people and has made several dog friends while in care. A meet and greet is recommended for homes with other dogs to ensure a good fit. He has also shown gentle, curious behavior around cats, often laying down calmly in their presence. Bodhi keeps his kennel clean and does not destroy toys or bedding, which are great signs he may already be potty trained or will transition easily into a home with consistency. He walks well on a leash and would benefit from continued basic training to help him grow into a confident, well-mannered companion. Bodhi is a loyal, attentive dog who thrives on companionship and would love to be included in daily activities. He is neutered, microchipped, current on rabies and core vaccinations, and has tested heartworm positive. Thanks to Rockwall PAWS, his treatment is sponsored at little to no cost to his adopter.
