Story
Hi! I'm Emerie! I'm an approximately 1 year old, female, German Shephard mix, weighing about 52 lbs. I was brought to the shelter in hopes of finding my furr ever home! I am a sweet girl who loves to give hugs and kisses. I enjoy playing with my dog friends and hanging out with my people. I am currently learning how to play fetch and have a big interest in tennis balls! I walk well on a leash but still pull on occasion. I am excited to find my new furr ever crew and am looking forward to a snuggly, warm bed to sleep in. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed and microchipped. I will be current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters, and heartworm negative! Due to high interest since my arrival, meet and greets will be by APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY. Please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and RAC staff will be in touch to set up a meet and greet with approved applicants.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. May 27, 2024, 3:26 am

Story
Hi there! My name is Bandit. I am a 4-year-old male German Shepherd that weighs around 65 Lbs. I was originally found off of Renee Dr. in Rockwall on 05/20/24 and never reclaimed. So now, I am available for adoption and can't wait to find my furever family. I love to garden and have a passion for food. I enjoy good food smells and am an excellent taste tester. I'm not a good cook but I am super supportive and enthusiastic. I am an excellent Chef Hype Man! I am new to the shelter and have no yet been dog tested. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is suggested prior to adoption to ensure we get along. My adoption fee is $125 which includes my neuter, microchip, rabies vaccination, boosters to date and heartworm test. If you are interested in making me a part of your family, please complete an online application through our website at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/. If I am adopted, I will be required to return to the shelter for my neuter, rabies booster and heartworm test on Wednesday 05/29/24. Story
Very sweet and loving dog towards humans. Grew up around all my nieces and nephews aged 6-17. Never shown any aggression towards any humans. She plays well with male dogs in our household all smaller. They are schipperke and mini Aussie. But our mini Aussie female and her have had some run ins to the point where I need to recommend her. She has early onset cataracts according to our vet and up to this point she gets around just fine. She is my baby and has slept in my bed every night since I got her. Does well outside and is house and crate trained. She is gonna be 2 ears old in August.

Story
I live across the road from the people who have "Baby". I don't think the owners have named her. They have been looking for her a home but not very hard. Baby comes over to my house to play with my 5 dogs because she is lonely. Five dogs are the reasons I can't keep her. I can't afford another dog. Baby is very cute and friendly but is kinda skittish, however. She loves treats and playing. She barks at my cats but doesn't harm them. She is part German Shepherd and part Catahoula. She is going to be a medium sized adult dog. She's 5 mo old weighing about 35-40 lbs.

Story
Meet Sloane! Sloane is a 7-year-old, female, Dutch Shephard mix weighing approximately 60lbs. She was originally found on Lakeside Drive in Rockwall on 09/12/2023 and sadly never reclaimed. Sloane has been looking for her fur-ever family for 242 days as of 05/11/24 and truly cannot wait to be adopted. Sloane is currently staying with a foster family until she finds her FURever home. Sloane has shown that she truly is a super sweet and affectionate dog! She really loves people and thrives in a home setting! She's great with kids ages 4 and up and is very gentle while they play with her. She enjoys playing fetch, but she is still learning the "retrieve/return" part of the game and will have a blast running around with the ball. Tennis balls are her jam! She is crate and leash trained. Sloane seems to prefer having a human companion over a canine one but meet and greets can be arranged if you have another dog in the home prior to adoption. Since Sloane has been a resident of RAC for over 90 days, she is considered a Diamond Dog with a reduced adoption fee of $75. She is spayed, current on rabies vaccination and basic boosters, microchipped and heartworm negative! Since she is in foster and not currently at the shelter, an online application is required in order to meet with her. If you are interested in making Sloane a part of your family, please submit an adoption application located here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/.
