Story
Meet Chevy! Chevy is the most handsome 8 year old pup you will ever lay your eyes on! And he’s got the brains and personality to match! Which to be honest doesn’t always happen haha. He was surrendered by his family to the shelter with his brother. His brother was adopted but Chevy found himself left behind and set to be euthanized for space. When we saw he only had a few hours left we busted him out and I’m so glad we did. Chevy is going to make a family so incredibly happy one day. He is truly a unicorn dog. Going through our temperament evaluation there’s typically a few little things that come up…. Not with Chevy though. Every test we through his way he passed with flying colors. Truthfully it’s almost been a bit boring but he is certainly 100% good boy certified! -Good With Other Dogs. Has an “all out” play style. -Very Sweet and submissive with people. -House/Crate Trained -Leash/Obedience Work We Are Currently Working On. Definitely Had No Work Prior. -Demands belly rubs and he’s cute enough to where you will cave in and give them. -Lower drive GS -High Energy and social would be a great adventure buddy We do not ships dog out of state. All adopters must travel to Dallas to meet their potential animal in person before moving forward with an adoption trial run.

Story
Meet Archie – A Diamond Dog Ready for His Happy Ending Archie is an approximately 5-year-old German Shepherd mix who has been patiently waiting 145 days (as of 03/30/26) for his forever home after being found as a stray and never reclaimed. Now a Diamond Dog, his adoption fee is reduced to $75. Once a little unsure, Archie has truly come into his own and now enjoys being around people, soaking up attention, and simply being by your side. He appears to do well with female dogs and would benefit from a meet and greet if you have another dog at home. He also appears to be both house and crate trained, though he will need time and consistency to adjust to a new environment. Archie is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He is heartworm positive, but his treatment is fully sponsored by Rockwall PAWS. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who's ready to finally go home, Archie is waiting to meet you. Apply here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. March 30, 2026, 7:33 pm

Story
Meet Muñeca - A Beautiful Young Girl Ready for Her Forever Home Muñeca is a 1-year-old German Shepherd / Husky mix weighing around 53 lbs who is looking for a loving, committed family to call her own. She was found as a stray and taken in by a kind family, but due to space limitations, they were unable to keep her. Now she's ready for a fresh start with people who can give her the time, structure, and attention she deserves. Muñeca is friendly, social, and good with other dogs. A meet and greet is always recommended prior to adoption to ensure she is a good match with any dogs already in the home. Muneca would not be good in a home with cats or other small animals. She has been around children. She is still learning household manners, as she has not yet had formal training or lived fully indoors, but she is young, smart, and eager to learn. With consistency, positive reinforcement, and patience, she has all the potential to grow into a confident, well-mannered companion. She will thrive in a home that enjoys being active, going on walks, and continuing basic training. Her adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccination, and basic boosters to date. Muneca did test positive for heartworms but thankfully, Rockwall PAWS has partnered with us to cover the cost of Muneca's treatment. If you have any questions about heartworms, or Muneca's treatment plan, RAC staff are happy to answer your questions. If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent, and beautiful young dog to add to your family, Muñeca may be the perfect match. Apply to adopt Muñeca online at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. Story
Meet Bodhi - your future adventure buddy and loyal best friend! Bodhi is an approximately 18-month-old male German Shepherd mix weighing around 72 pounds who was found off Horizon Road near Rockwall Custom Frames and, sadly, was never reclaimed. Now he's ready to leave his past behind and find the forever family he's been waiting for. This handsome boy loves being around people and enjoys social time with everyone he meets. Including other dogs! Even though he has made some doggie friends here at RAC, if you already have a pup at home, a meet and greet is recommended to ensure everyone gets along and starts off on the right paw. Bodhi is respectful of his surroundings and keeps his kennel clean, never shredding toys or bedding - a wonderful indicator that he's either potty trained or will be easy to house train with consistency. He walks well on a leash and would enjoy basic training to help him continue growing into a confident, well-mannered companion. At heart, Bodhi is a classic shepherd mix: loyal, attentive, and happiest when he's included in everyday life. Whether it's walks, backyard time, or just hanging out with his people, he's ready to be someone's steady companion and best friend. His adoption fee is $125. Bodhi is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccination, and basic boosters. He did test positive for heartworms but, thanks to Rockwall PAWS, Bodhi will be able to receive treatment at little to no cost to his adopters. Staff is available to answer any questions you have about heartworms or Bodhi's course of treatment. Feel free to ask! If Bodhi sounds like the missing piece in your family, apply online to meet him at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
