Story
We got Gunner at 18 weeks old and he just had his first birthday. He loves to be outside and playing. He does get excited and jumps up (it’s been a work in progress to break the habit). He’s house and kennel trained, and with a new job and work schedule, he spends more time alone than he would like. He would thrive in an active house with people to play with and wear him out, who can also train him up a little bit more. He does know basic commands, but has selective listening. He also has some separation anxiety, so his long hours alone are not ideal. He has been around kids, but doesn’t know his strength and with the jumping, older kids would be ideal. He’s a kind sweet goofball looking to spend more time with someone.

Story
Meet Beau, a handsome 1-year-old Shepherd Lab mix with a tall, athletic build, weighing around 65-70 pounds. As a littermate to Rosie and Petunia, Beau shares their sweet nature but has a personality all his own. Beau is kennel trained and enjoys affection, though he’s not the overly cuddly type. He’s happiest when he’s exploring the yard, playing, and enjoying his surroundings. Beau is the perfect companion for someone who appreciates an independent yet friendly dog with a playful spirit. If you’re looking for a loyal buddy to share your adventures and quiet moments, Beau could be the one for you! ***Courtesy Post*** This pet is not with our rescue. Located in Yakima WA but can be transported to Western WA. If interested, let us know and we will put you in touch with his foster.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**Koda Bear** This darling puppy was dumped from a car and left to die. A wonderful passerby took the puppy home to care for her until a rescue had the room to take him.  Koda is settling in at Rompin Paws Rescue, and he is ready to make someone a fabulous family companion!! Koda looks like he has a long thick coat. He does not, its soft and fine, not at all thick, just a bit fluffy giving the image hae has a dense coat. I would call it short, to medium, soft and fine, Puppy fluff. Koda is a little shy, but curious, and warms up quickly. He would love to have a doggie companion in the home for mentoring and friendship. Koda's estimated adult weight is approximately 30 pounds, based on information we found online.   He is either a Pomeranian-German Shepherd or a Elkhound mixed with small breeds because he will not be a large dog based on his 15 pound size at 5 months of age. Koda will need an adopter who has time to train and care for a growing puppy. Puppies are a lot of work and require dedication to establish boundaries and help them become well-behaved members of the family. He cannot be locked in a crate for hours at a time and be left alone. Koda will do best in a home with an adult, dog-friendly pup who can mentor Koda and be his BFF dog buddy. Koda will do really well with older, dog-savvy children, as this breed mix makes an excellent family dog. **Adopting Koda** To adopt Koda, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application and follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and determine whether you are a good match for this pup. If a match is made, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to complete the application, as tablets and cell phones may disrupt the process. Koda has transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and focuses on a healthy, canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition. The adoption fee for Koda is $595 and includes spaying, puppy vaccines, rabies, and a microchip. www.rompinpawsrescue.com   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 1, 2026, 1:08 pm
