Story
Age: 7 months Breed: Belgian Malinois Mix Sex: Female, Spayed Weight: 40 pounds About: Curious, smart, and eager to learn…all amazing qualities to have in a dog and Finn matches them all. Finn was surrendered with her other siblings who have already found their forever homes. However, because Finn and her sister Princess are not traditional colors, they have been looked over every time. Finn’s Mom was a Belgian Malinois but they were unsure what the dad was. But that doesn’t matter to us, because we love her just the same! Finn is learning how to walk on a leash and her basic commands. She will need someone with the patience and willingness to continue to help her become the best dog she can be. She loves kids and enjoys running and playing with all the dogs in her playgroup!  (5/5/26)   Hope Dogs      Lower Fees. Adoption $300.00, Transport: $100.00     **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  June 17, 2026, 8:03 pm

Story
Meet Agatha (A568477) Agatha arrived as a stray over a week ago and is now hoping to find her forever home. Honestly, she might be new, but we are already worried about her mental health being here at the shelter. Agatha is a timid dog. If you go to remove her from her kennel, you`ll notice that she will cower at the back rather than coming to you. Leashes can be intimidating to her too, so we ask that you go slow when coming to meet Agatha. Once outside, she appears much more comfortable than she is in her kennel and loosens up more. To say the least, seeing Agatha in her kennel really will not tell you much about her. We encourage any potential adopters to take her outside and spend time with her. When it comes to playgroups, she is getting more confident with each passing day. Agatha has taken part in a few multi-dog playgroups and does well for the most part. It can take her a minute to loosen up and she can be very nervous initially, but once she becomes comfortable she will engage in play. Once she has had enough, she will leave the group of dogs to go hang out with our staff. She has done good with both males and females. While Agatha has been making progress with her confidence here at the shelter, we believe she would thrive even more in a home environment where she can continue working through her timidness with the consistent support of a family. Agatha is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs 61 pounds. All animals adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, spayed/neutered and given a 30 day flea/tick preventative.Ready to meet Agatha? Stop by 4950 Triana Blvd SW in Huntsville, Alabama. No appointment is necessary to meet our available animals. All adopters must be 19 years or older and be able to provide a valid ID

Story
Blondie is a stunning 9-year-old German Shepherd and Malinois mix weighing 58 lbs. She is a highly intelligent, focused dog who requires a handler with extensive experience in working breeds and protection training. Based on her behaviors, it appears she began professional protection training in the past that was never fully completed. She possesses a strong, confident personality and has the potential to be an exceptional companion for a person who understands how to provide the structure and leadership these breeds require. Despite likely spending the earlier part of her life outdoors, Blondie has transitioned remarkably well to life inside and is fully housebroken. She has been making excellent progress with her current training and is eager to work. However, due to her high drive and dominant nature, she must be the only pet in the home. She is not compatible with children or cats and shows dominance toward other dogs. Blondie is fully prepared for her forever home. She is spayed, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated, and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $250. We are seeking a dedicated, experienced owner who can continue her training and provide the focused environment she needs to thrive.June 17, 2026, 11:49 pm

Yuki is a beautiful 20-week-old Belgian Shepherd/Austrailian Shepherd mix with a striking brindle coat that gives her a bold, tiger-striped flair. She has an adorable white patch on her chest and tiny white toes that add just the right touch of sweetness to her already stunning look.
