RANCH DOGS OR SERVICE DOG PROSPECT!!!!!All dogs are located in southeast Arizona between Benson and Willcox Arizona. Please contact Carrie at fedwellfarm@yahoo.com or 602-316-8919 (no texts please) UPDATED PROFILE: Opal and Dusty have learned so much and come so far! A wonderful donor has offered up to $500 to help pay for a dog trainer to work with their adopter. WE WOULD ALLOW THESE DOGS TO A RANCH OR FARM HOME in order to keep them together. We normally do not allow outdoor only, but these two would really love to be together on a farm or ranch. Opal and Dusty have learned so much and come so far! These two wonderful dogs would also excel as service dogs. They are extremely loyal and want to desperately bond with their humans. They are extremely loyal and want to desperately bond with their humans. Both have been snake avoidance trained and actually did so well that the trainer was impressed, and they seem to have known about snakes instinctively. Opal and Dusty were scared kids picked up by animal control in New Mexico. When they arrived, we could not even catch them, they were so afraid. T They have come so far! They love their humans; they look forward to human contact and are absolutely the BEST ON THE LEASH!!!!! They go for long walks with the volunteer, and they are perfect. Once, the volunteer fell on the walk and the leashes were let go., Dusty and Opal stayed right with her and made sure the volunteer was okay and then waited for their leashes to be picked up and carry on with their walk. (The volunteer was not injured thankfully) Both of them are now 2 years old. They have filled out beautifully and are in magnificent condition. Both weigh between 70 and 80 pounds. We would love to place these two in a home together, if possible, but we would separate if necessary. Please come meet these wonderful, beautiful kids and give them the life they really deserve. They have been in rescue way to long and they will repay their new family with so much love, giggles and smiles! 602-316-8919 (no texts please)March 13, 2026, 7:57 pm

Story
We bought Brownie 7-8 years ago, when he was a puppy. He loves people and attention, is extremely athletic (loves swimming in the pool with us and chasing balls and catching frisbees). He is ok with small dogs, but not with mid- and large-sized dogs. For 1-2 months a year, he has allergic reactions to pollen and behaves strangely (ex: will dig a hole in the yard and lay in it or hide in different places in the house). Brownie is fantastic with kids, a great guard dog, and loves people. He is very afraid of fireworks, is house trained, extremely smart and well behaved. The ideal owner will give him an active lifestyle (daily walks, play times, occasional swimming) and a lot of attention.

Story
Bird does not get along with our cats (he chases them constantly) and he has a reactivity issue (he barks and pulls against the leash hard to get to other dogs, I can walk him, my wife cannot). We were not aware of how much effort and teaining German Shepherds need when we were offered Bird and his brother as puppies. We are in over our head with this one. He loves fetch and tug of war. When he was a puppy (around 7 or 8 months) he did bite (a little) his first ever dogsitter (dogsitter was fine and in fact kept dogsitting even though we offered to cancel our trip to come home). He has gotten along with dog sitters since then. Needs an owner with more experience training dogs.

Story
Squirrel is a high energy dog who loves fetch, running, tug of war, and snuggles. When we adopted him we thought we were unable to have children and raising them was already difficult for us as we were not aware of the time and effort required to train German Shepherds. We now have a child and we no longer have the finances or time to properly care for Squirrel and his brother Bird. The only issue he had was separation anxiety if he was left home alone. He would try and occasionally succeed to break out of his kennel. That has been getting better with age but he still dislikes being left home without us.
