🐾 Meet Waffles! 🐾 Age: 3 years old Breed: Belgian Malinois Mix Status: Spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions Waffles is a stunning, smart, and athletic Belgian Malinois mix looking for her forever family! At 3 years old, she’s past the puppy stage but still full of energy and enthusiasm. This girl is incredibly sweet and eager to please, but she will thrive best with a breed knowledgeable owner who understands both the mental and physical needs of a Malinois. Waffles loves a good game of fetch, and she’ll happily play for hours if you let her. She has had professional training, which makes her a fantastic partner for someone who enjoys structure, exercise, and continued learning. Her trainer is also willing to work with her new adopters should they like to continue her training. Like many Malinois, she has prey drive and will definitely keep the squirrels out of your yard. With cats, she’ll need slow, careful introductions. If they run, she may want to chase. She does well with other non-dominant dogs, but proper introductions are important to set her up for success. If you’re looking for a loyal, athletic, and intelligent companion who will love adventure as much as she loves downtime with her people, Waffles could be the perfect match. 💌 Could Waffles be your new best friend? Apply today and give this amazing girl the home she deserves! $200 Local Adoption Fee (in Texas) $450 Out of State Fee (includes transportation to your area)

I would do best in a single dog home...one great thing about me is...you don't have to trudge me to the dog park.... i prefer to be at home with YOU. I am good with cats too!! Now, if you know the Belgian Malinois breed you will know that exercising my body is good, but it just makes me stronger and have more stamina ;) So you have to ALSO exercise my brain- that is the way to wear me out ;) Doggy puzzles, wearing a weighted backpack, all kinds of ways to do that! I love to be challenged and to LEARN what you want me to do to be your new bestest friend!! I want a really nice family who will hike, bike, run, swim with me too! I have a heart of gold and am ready to shine it right on your family, ADOPT ME!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Sasha had lived with me for a little over a year. Before that, she lived with my girlfriend's dad for 2 years. Before that, she was with another owner who later had her sent to a shelter (where said dad would adopt her from). Not much is known about her life before the dad adopted her, and it wasn't until she was in my possession that I formulated the assumption that she is no stranger to some form of abuse. This is due to her anxious and skiddish behavior. When she came into the father's possession, he had her locked up in the crate, where she would only be freed to feed or pottyWhen she came into my possession, she was given the luxury that all dogs have in my household. A "cage-free" life (They only go in cages when there is no human in the house). The first few months were odd, as she kept going back to the cage, but in time, she got better, and her nervous behavior lessened. She still needs improvement, but with the right owner, she will no doubt continue improving.Questions? Ask!

Story
Sheeba is my name and I am quite the celebrity around here :) Let me tell you all about it... have a seat and grab some tea. I was living on the streets with a gang of friends... found by a rescuer we were being fed but there was no room to put all of us. Of course, I was pregnant and after I gave birth the rescuers were afraid with all the storms that my babies wouldn't survive out there. So the pound was called, and let me tell you....I WOULD HAVE PROTECTED MY PUPS WITH MY LIFE........ of course, that is deemed "aggressive" and after my two day stray hold I was going to be euthanized and my puppies sent to rescues to bottle feed and raise up :( But MY rescue said, UH UH... She comes with the pups.... and they MADE IT HAPPEN! Now, it wasn't easy but I settled in to the routine and learned my caregiver's names and soon enough I was eating out of their hands. And they learned some neat but sad things about me.... I belonged to someone who trained me....... it is sad because no one has any idea where that person is nor why I was living on the streets :( Also, I am a very smart girl so I am also very sensitive to change....but, with my pups grown and adopted, I am now a model citizen at the rescue. Look at my video....I had JUST met the trainer that day and she absolutely fell head over heels for me. Now I am ready for you, I will complete your family. I am still working on my other dog skills and would probably be best where I can be the only dog and give you all my love. I am a gorgeous girl, my coat resembles a Belgian Shepherd's and I have GSD face and mannerisms. So if you want to adopt me, you must love and understand the working breeds. We need an outlet for our drive and you have to provide that to give me a great balanced life. I am ready, I hope you are too!! Local adoption only, $200 (in TX) (or if you want to drive down to meet and take her home that is cool too :)

These pups are in Little Rock, Arkansas too!

Story
Hi… I’m Sophie. I’ve had a hard start in life. I’m about seven (maybe eight—it’s a little fuzzy), and for most of my years I lived chained to a car outside. There was a neglect case, and it took a long time, but eventually I was removed and brought somewhere safe. That’s how I ended up at the shelter the first time. Then something amazing happened—I was adopted. For a few short months, I got to see what a real home felt like. Soft places to rest, kind hands, and the feeling that I finally belonged. But my story took another sad turn when my new owner was tragically killed in a car accident. And just like that, I found myself back where I started… waiting again. But here’s the thing about me—I haven’t given up. There are some really wonderful people out there who see something special in me. Several rescues have come together to help me find my forever home, so you might see me listed in a few different places. It just means there’s a whole team rooting for me, hoping the right person finds me. Even though my past was rough, I have the sweetest heart. People say I have a gentle, loving spirit—you can probably tell I’m just grateful to be here, getting another chance. I might look a little older than I am (turns out living outside isn’t great for your glow), but when I move, you can see it—I’ve got a beautiful gait and I still carry myself like the gorgeous dog I am inside. Right now, I’m in foster care, learning what it means to feel safe again. I’m a very sweet girl. I don’t need much—just a kind family, a soft place to land, and someone who won’t give up on me. I’ve been through a lot… but I still believe my best days are ahead.

Story
Hello, I’m Tessa! I’m a lovely senior German Shepherd, and my journey has been quite an adventure. It all began when I was abandoned in an industrial area in Central Arkansas with a young puppy. I think he might be my grandson, but nobody really knows for sure. Life was tough for us out there, huddling together outside in the elements, until one day, a group of wonderful people who worked in the factory found us. They brought us indoors, giving us warmth and a sense of safety for a few nights. Not long after, a caring rescue group took us in, and I’ve been grateful ever since. With my mellow nature and sweet spirit, I'm a big fan of cozy naps and gentle cuddles. I'm very good with other dogs, and I have a particular love for that little puppy who has been my companion. While we're unsure of our exact connection, I know in my heart that we share an unbreakable bond. Now, I’m on the lookout for a forever home where I can spend my golden years in comfort and love. If you’re looking for a sweet senior to care for, I promise to bring so much joy into your life! I’m also hoping my grandson can find a wonderful place, too, so we can both live happily ever after. I hope a young family will see him and fall in love with Gunner! Thank you for considering me—I can’t wait to meet you!

Story
🐾 Hi there, I’m Speckle! 🐾 You might have seen me on social media when I was in the spotlight, not exactly the glamorous kind, though. I was affectionately known as the "momma dog" who spent my days lying too close to the road on Hwy 365, right beside Speck Cabinets in Maumelle. And that's where my name came from, Mr. Jake at Speck Cabinets was always so kind to me. Every once in a while I would go in the big garage doors of his cabinet company and hang out and he never chased me away and would give me yummy treats. He is a very kind man and I am so thankful to him for giving me space to feel safe so I could be near humans after being abandoned by others. It's pretty lonely living under an abandoned house taking care of my babies who were just a couple of weeks old and it always made me feel some comfort to be near someone so nice. I used to be loved and Jake reminded me of what all people should be like, kind. I am so blessed because on top of Jake, there were some incredible humans that came together to help me and my babies. A heartfelt thank you to Debbie Nash, Preston Nolan, and all the amazing neighbors like Jake, Miss Doreen, Mr. Vernon and Miss Sarah who worked tirelessly to rescue us, even tearing up the floorboards of an abandoned house where I was keeping my puppies hidden. The rescue people now call me and my babies the "Speckle Squad" because Jake at Speck Cabinets was so important in all of this. I might seem reserved at first, but trust me, my tail is always ready to wag at the thought of new friends. I’ve been in rescue for about a week now, adjusting to my new surroundings while being a caring mom to my pups. I’ve had a tough past, being abandoned and living under that old house, but I’m a good mom and I have a tender heart and I am ready to love again and be loved. As I decompress and come out of my shell, the nice rescue people will update you all! Also, if you know of anyone wanting to adopt any of my cute babies, please tell them to ask about Chip, Dottie, Bon Bon and Dollop! I hope you will ask to meet me or one of my babies!
