Story
Hello, I’m Tessa! I’m a lovely senior German Shepherd, and my journey has been quite an adventure. It all began when I was abandoned in an industrial area in Central Arkansas with a young puppy. I think he might be my grandson, but nobody really knows for sure. Life was tough for us out there, huddling together outside in the elements, until one day, a group of wonderful people who worked in the factory found us. They brought us indoors, giving us warmth and a sense of safety for a few nights. Not long after, a caring rescue group took us in, and I’ve been grateful ever since. With my mellow nature and sweet spirit, I'm a big fan of cozy naps and gentle cuddles. I'm very good with other dogs, and I have a particular love for that little puppy who has been my companion. While we're unsure of our exact connection, I know in my heart that we share an unbreakable bond. Now, I’m on the lookout for a forever home where I can spend my golden years in comfort and love. If you’re looking for a sweet senior to care for, I promise to bring so much joy into your life! I’m also hoping my grandson can find a wonderful place, too, so we can both live happily ever after. I hope a young family will see him and fall in love with Gunner! Thank you for considering me—I can’t wait to meet you!

Hi there! I’m River and I’m about a year old, and while my journey wasn’t always easy, I know I have a happy long life ahead of me. You see, I was found by a wonderful lady who rescued me. I heard her tell the nice rescue people that I was emaciated when she found me and limping due to some old injuries. My hips took quite a hit, but the good news is that my vet says I’m doing great! I might walk and sit a little differently, but I use both my legs to balance quite well, and there’s no pain holding me back. I’m currently living with a bunch of other dogs, and let me tell you, life is a blast! My favorite activity? Rummaging through the toy box to find my beloved toys. I love tossing them up in the air and chasing after them-I can totally amuse myself. As much as I enjoy playtime, I’m also a total cuddle bug. My personality is as sweet as they come. Hope you will adopt me! Signing off, River

Story
Hi there! My name is Zion, and I’m on the lookout for my forever home. My journey hasn’t been an easy one; as a baby, I was left in someone's fence overnight and they found me on a really cold morning and I was starving to death. The nice rescue lady thought I needed a super special name given how traumatized I was and how far I have come so she named me Zion. I don't understand it all but she said scripture refers to Zion as the "City of Holiness" and a "city of refuge" where the Lord protects his people from the evils of the world. The nice family that found me in the fence provided refuge for me as did each of my wonderful fosters, Edie and Anita. All of these wonderful people have protected me from the evil meant to hurt me and now I am healing and longing for my forever home. While I am still healing from the trauma of my past, but every day, I’m getting stronger and more confident. I thrive best with furry siblings around; they help me feel safe and secure. My favorite things in the world are snuggling in bed and letting out my sweet side. If I get nervous, you’ll find me retreating to my cozy spot in my favorite human bed, but don’t worry—I’m crate trained, too! I have the bestest foster sibling Nova, who is about my age and we also have 2 furry felines and I am awesome with them! So, if you have other dogs or cats, I am perfect for you! I love being outdoors and am a pro on the leash. Car rides are another joy of mine—I can't wait to go on adventures with you! Most importantly, I’m looking for a family that will let me be myself and continue this beautiful journey of healing. While I am very sweet and quiet, little kiddos will really overwhelm me so I am looking for a family that has another canine and even some felines but no kiddos. I am just to shy. I’m incredibly thankful for my amazing foster families, especially Edie and Anita, who have helped me decompress and learn how to trust again. Now, I’m ready to find my own special family who will show me all the love I truly deserve. If that sounds like you, I can’t wait to meet you!

Story
Meet Kanga! 🐶💛 Breed: Large Shepard/Mix Personality: Gentle, Cautious, Extremely Loving Kanga may be a big dog, but he has an even bigger heart — once he feels safe. This sweet guy can be fearful around new people and will often bark to let you know he’s unsure. But with slow, respectful introductions, Kanga starts to show his true colors: affectionate, loyal, and irresistibly cuddly. He knows some basic commands like sit, come, down etc. Once you’re part of his circle, Kanga becomes a total lovebug who just wants to be close, soak up attention, and share quiet moments with his trusted humans. He thrives in a calm, patient home where people understand that trust takes time — but it’s worth every second. Kanga would do best with dog-savvy adults in a low-traffic home where he can settle in at his own pace. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will love you deeply once he knows you, Kanga is ready to meet you — slowly. Local adoption fee is $200(in TX)

Wendy Hi everyone, I am the only one of my siblings with a lighter brindle coat and pointy ears. I love to run free and play. I might be a little skiddish, but once I know you I with give lots of kisses. Oh, and I can sit really well if you put a leash on me. I can almost stand at a standstill, lol. I am still a puppy and learning, but I am good with kids and cats. I also understand when it's time to eat, that I should go to my kennel. If you have a large yard to let me run and time to play with me, then I would love to go home with you. I am waiting.... :) Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
So you need to put ME on YOUR RADAR!! Cause I am AVAILABLE to be your newest bestest fren, EVER!!! So, by now you know my name but do you know my game??? I am a GORGEOUS black lab/shepherd mix with a sad story to tell... but like ALL sad stories, I HAVE A HAPPY ENDING (so far:) But I am looking for the family who will cherish me furever and I think that is YOU! You look pretty smart and put together... and that is WHY you want to adopt me! I was found in a neighborhood, wandering in the blistering heat as well as the "colder" weather (40's in San Antonio is REALLY COLD :D And the lady who took time to feed me and gain my trust was the same lady who saved me! She knew that I was a GOOD dog, just looking for someone to save me from the streets and give me HOPE for a better life. No one really knows my back story, but some things are obvious.... I am smart and sensitive to new environments, I am sweet and CUDDLY, I am LOVING being back in a home and have been potty trained since minute one.... I love my unstuffed toys and carry my "baby" around all day. I am a mess with fireworks or other loud- end of the world- kind of stuff. I am not a huge fan of bathing but LOVE a great car ride!! I am learning all kinds of cool things here, the most important thing is I am loved!!! So if you want to continue the lessons, come and adopt me!! I am waiting!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
