F - 2 years old - Belgian Malinois Mix - Moxie is a beautiful Belgian Malinois with a sensitive side and a lot of potential. This intelligent girl is looking for someone who understands that earning trust takes time and who is willing to help her build confidence at her own pace. When meeting new dogs, Moxie can be insecure and unsure. During supervised meet-and-greets, she has been able to walk calmly alongside another dog without barking or reacting, but she has also shown that she can become uncomfortable when dogs get too close. Because of this, Moxie is currently recommended to be the only dog in the home. Moxie would also benefit greatly from working with a professional trainer who can help her build confidence, learn appropriate coping skills, and continue developing her manners in new situations. A patient handler who enjoys working with an intelligent, driven breed will be an important part of helping Moxie thrive. With the right person, Moxie has the opportunity to become an incredible companion. She needs someone who will respect her boundaries, give her structure and consistency, and celebrate the small victories along the way. If you're experienced with the Belgian Malinois breed and looking for a dog who will challenge you, bond deeply with you, and grow alongside you, Moxie may be your girl. The owner states, “We live in a mellow call home with myself, my wife, 4yr old and a newborn. They get along and play with my 4yr old. My wife rescued them off of the street from being abandoned. They have all of their shots and they are neutered. They are both females with a mixed breed. The beige female seems to not like men so much, they don’t seem to get along with other dogs. They take a while to get used to people but they can be very loving and protective. I am rehoming them because they don’t seem to like the newborn baby, they growl and bark at the baby when it’s crying or in our arms. They have never bitten anyone or any dog. We would preferably for Marley to be rehomed with her sister Ziggy. ” Due to the pet not being in our care, it is out of our control when and if the owner responds to your inquiry. Thank you.

Sully is a kindly elder gent who is lovable and loving. He is my mother's dog but she is suffering from dementia and can no longer care for her dogs. Sully is about 15 years old and is definitely bonded with Lacey, the other dog listed from us here. If they can be adopted together it would be best. He is fairly active for his age, jogging around his yard playing with Lacey, but loves to cuddle with his human.
