Story
UPDATE: 2/10/26: Raiku went back to the vet to get his rabies vaccination. He weighed 42.5 pounds as of 2/10/26. He is also learning to walk on a leash. Raiku and his 4 brothers came into rescue as an "oops" litter. His family found homes for some of the puppies but were unable to place the last 5. As they grew, they knew they could not afford to keep them much longer and reached out to us to see if we could take them and find them good, loving homes. We have gotten 2 of the puppies ready to go so far. The remaining 3 will probably have to wait until after Christmas to be vetted due to holiday schedules. The puppies are purebred and were born in September of 2025. They love their food and are growing like weeds! They are very active, as this breed typically is. Malinois are working dogs and generally require a great deal of activity, a job/stimulation and regular socialization to ensure that they become the best dogs that they can be. They are initially a bit shy and unsure, as most dogs who get taken from all they know but they warm up quickly and are friendly boys. They are still young puppies so it's a great time to bring them into your family and home environment to socialize them to kids, cats and other dogs. Right now, they are basically blank slates that you will mold. Mals are mouthers, which means they like to use their mouth. Some people think they are being nippy or "biting" but it is a common behavior among puppies (and also why mals are also known as "maligators"). You will not want to allow the mouthing to escalate but some level of it is normal in the breed and in puppies, in general. Since they are still puppies, they will require training. They are not housebroken or crate trained yet and have never been on a leash. They need to learn appropriate house manners and what is acceptable to chew on. Keeping them engaged and active is key to preventing unwanted destructive behaviors. These boys are beautiful puppies who have the potential to become beautiful dogs. With the right home and the right guidance, they will become the absolute best companions! Loyal, loving and protective of their home and family! Raiku saw the vet on 12/17/25 and was found to have no issues. He is currently too young to be tested for heartworms but has been started on Simparica Trio for flea control and heartworm prevention. He tested positive on his fecal for hookworms and has been given a Drontal to treat. He may require a follow up in 3 weeks. Raiku started his vaccinations but since he is still a puppy, he will require boosters and his rabies at 4 months to ensure he has a good foundation for protection. Raiku weighed 21.6 pounds as of 12/17/25. If interested in giving Raiku his forever home, please submit your interest and your adoption application via email or text ONLY to 352-215-3260 (phone calls will not be answered or returned from this number). Raiku's adoption fee will be $400 to help cover the cost of his vetting and daily care while with us. We will only consider applicants who complete the adoption application and will determine whether the applicant would be a good fit for Raiku based on the info provided in the application. If we feel that you will be a good match for him, we will set up a meet and greet appointment with you.

Story
We rescued Zelda from the shelter shes only a year almost two years old. She is a ton of energy and super clingy. She is so smart and funny, loves to play non stop and will tear up a toy like nobodys business. She does great around our four year old and other dogs but its war when she sees a cat haha. Should she get sad or get groomed, she complains and sounds like a husky talking and whining. Our apartment complex sold to new management and we no longer are able to keep her, along with work schedules changing drastically, we dont have the time with her either. She just needs someone who will have more time than us and patience, and ability to keep up. Shes a great bestfriend or family dog! We love her dearly!

These pups are in Gainesville, Florida too!

Story
I am a people-oriented, peppy guy who has previously lived in a home with other large dogs. Here in shelter playgroups, I spend more time hanging with my people friends and attending to the interesting goings on through the fence than I do playing, but I`m happy to coexist. Ask to see me today!
