Story
Maverick has had a ruff life. Sadly, he was on the street/woods for well over 2 months. After being chased, yelled at and who knows what, he found a place that was safe for him. Food was available next to this safe place with a section 8housing. He was timid of people but not aggressive. Took almost 2 weeks to catch him. Once safe in a home, Maverick started to blossom and become an amazing dog. Believe to be about a yr old. Good with other dogs - in a home with other Belgians and a chihuahua. He does play to rough with the smaller. Will chase a cat if they run Has been around kids at the housing complex, not with me. House and crate trained. Started basic training He does bark at sounds that he doesn’t understand The person Must Be willing to continue training Must be willing and understanding that he needs time to adjust to the new environment Must have working dog experience He is not aggressive- but does need reassurance at times

Story
Samantha came into a local shelter as a scared stray before coming to us. She is around 1-year-old and mid-sized. She likes other dogs and playing, but can annoy some because of her assertive play style. She loves kids and has no personal space. She has also been introduced to cats and is either scared of them or avoids them, but she has not been loose with them in the house. She is house-trained and has also learned to use a doggie-door. She has a Shepherd personality. Samantha did have an accident where a blanket cut off circulation to a lower front leg and she is currently working on using that front paw again. We are hopeful that she will use it more and more, but she may always have some nerve damage at the first joint. It does not slow her down though.Visit us at the Gainesville Petsmart on Archer Rd Saturdays 11 am to 5 pm and Sundays Noon to 5 pm. Diamond has come a long way.  She is absolutely stunning.  She would need to be the only pet in the house.  Or if someone was looking for two she has bonded with Max.  Please reach out to us to find out more about Diamond.   UPDATE: Diamond has bonded with Max. She and Max are great friends and you can not tell this sweet girl was so insitutionalized a year ago. We still think things would be scary if she were to be introduced to a dog she doesnt already know and accepot. She wanted, badly, to get at a new dog she saw walking throught he halls at the kennel. But she and Max are fast friends and it is actually very endearing to see her being "normal" <3 We would discount adoption fees if these dogs were to be adopted together <3  Misunderstood and institutionalised. We pulled Diamond from a shelter in March. She had been there NINE months. She is so smart and loyal. She is BIG and does not like other animals, generally speaking. She would KILL a cat or small animal. She gets along with other dogs but not ALL dogs. We have never been able to let her have free play but we do have success in training and pack walks. She would be best in a ONE PET HOUSEHOLD with HER BEING THE ONLY PET> ##988163##

Story
Fester came to us from our local shelter in need of a lot of help. He was found roaming in the Ocala National Forest, very emaciated, & with badly injured feet. With lots of love and care, he has blossomed into a beautiful and extremely intelligent dog who is full of life. He listens well, is well behaved, walks wonderfully on a leash, and gets along with most other dogs. He likes to greet our kennel techs with a hug every morning before breakfast - he is SO affectionate!
