Anchor | 1.5-years-old | 55lbs Meet Anchor! This guy has a desire to work and is fascinated by everything the wide world has to offer. He is always ready for the next activity. Anchor loves having other active dog friends who love playtime as much as he does. He’s done well in a foster home and appears to be both potty trained and crate trained. Anchor can be a bit eager and enthusiastic, so some guidance and consistency will help him channel that excitement and put his best paw forward. Anchor loves toys and even enjoys splashing around in the pool! Anchor is ready for foster to adopt, so the time is NOW to meet him. Whether you're his temporary or forever home, meet Anchor by giving us a call (904-686-1956 x4589) or filling out an applcation. Apply to meet Anchor today: http://bit.ly/K9FWAdoptApp

Story
Meet Roxy — a beautiful Belgian Malinois mix looking for a loving new home. She is 1 1/2 years old, approximately 60 pounds, with short fawn-colored fur. Her father was a 100% Belgian Malinois with an excellent bloodline, which is one of the reasons we originally chose her. Her mother was a red nose pit bull with an extremely friendly, family-oriented temperament, and Roxy definitely inherited her sweet personality. Roxy is affectionate, loyal, intelligent, and wonderful with children. She has a very loving disposition and would thrive with an active individual or family who can give her plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. This has been an incredibly difficult decision for our family, but we recently discovered I have severe allergies to dogs and must rehome her for health reasons. We are looking for a responsible and caring forever home that will truly value her and treat her as part of the family. Serious inquiries only.

Story
Meet Maple!Maple is a sweet, senior Belgian Malinois x German Shepherd Mix, approximately 8 to 9 years old, with a gentle and sensitive soul. She can be very timid and shy around new people, likely due to a history of limited positive interactions with humans. Maple needs a calm, patient adopter who will allow her to move at her own pace and build trust on her terms. Once she feels safe, she enjoys peaceful walks and rolling in thick green grass.Unlike many shepherds, Maple is medium to low energy and prefers to keep to herself rather than engage in nonstop activity. She has been introduced to other dogs and does best with calm, respectful companions. She may correct overly pushy or high-energy dogs and can show mild leash or fence reactivity, but responds well to consistent verbal corrections. Maple would thrive with someone experienced with shepherd breeds and structured, consistent training. If introducing another dog, a meet-and-greet is recommended, though she is likely happiest as the only dog in the household.Maple has special needs - she is heartworm positive. Dogs with heartworm disease can live happy, high-quality lives with proper care. Heartworm positive dogs have just as much love and companionship to offer as any other dog and deserve a chance at a forever home! By adopting Maple, you are truly saving a life.Ask staff about the Stormie Rain Heartworm Fund and what assistance may be available to help with her heartworm treatment.Maple is ready to find a calm, loving home where she can feel safe, cared for, and truly cherished.ADOPTION PROCESS:Our adoption process is simple and straightforward.Start by completing our pre-screening application: https://tinyurl.com/adoptfromHSCCApplications are typically approved or declined the same day. Once approved and all parties agree, adoption fees are paid and the contract is signed. If the pet is not yet spayed/neutered or current on a rabies vaccine, they will not go home the same day. An appointment will be scheduled, and you’ll receive further instructions at that time.We hope this helps answer your questions!

Hi! My name is Shyla because I’m a lil shy and need time to warm up to you! I’m about 45-50 lbs and love cuddles and fetch. I’ll be 2 yrs old this September 2026, spayed and microchipped with all my vaccines up to date! I love playing and get along well with other dogs, I’m especially gentle around small pups and get super excited about cats! I love the water and would really enjoy an active lifestyle, with lots of bones to chew. This sweet girl truly deserves a stable family where she can be loved consistently.
