Meet Biscuit! This ~2.5-year-old neutered male German Shepherd / Belgian Malinois mix (~100 lbs, mostly light brown with a dark brown snout) is an affectionate goofball who loves playing — with his buddy Bella, with people, or happily on his own — and then melting into you for snuggles. Biscuit is house-trained (uses a dog door) and knows sit, shake, and high five. He has moderate energy and a sweet, playful temperament. He is good with children and other dogs and has no bite history. One important note: he is a big, strong boy (100 lbs), so he needs a confident adopter comfortable handling a large dog, and a NO-CAT home. He is neutered and current on vaccinations (Feb 2026); vet records available. Heartworm test and fecal screening are pending. Biscuit is fostered in the Nashville, IL area through Spencer Pet Rescue. He and Bella can be adopted together (preferred) or separately. Available ASAP — placement goal is end of October 2026.

Have you ever seen a big doggy PUPPY? Well if you saw my pics, you have NOW! I have a perpetual puppy face, so very cute! I am a great boy and would LOVE a busy family to do fun stuff with then to just hang out relaxing with. I came to the rescue so long ago that all my family has been adopted and I'm still waiting ................... My rescue friends and can't figure out why. I'm a smart, friendly, happy and busy boy. I'd love someone to take life one adventure at a time with. If you know the Belgian Malinois breed you know that exercising my body is good, but it just makes me stronger and have more stamina ;) So you have to ALSO exercise my brain and I'm open to all the fun ways to do that! I love to be challenged and want to LEARN what you want me to do to be your new bestest friend!! I 'd love a nice family who will hike, bike, run, swim and play with me! I have a heart of gold and am ready to shine it right on your family, ADOPT ME!!! Dodger is house trained, leash trained, crate trained and loves car rides. Malinois/German Shepherd Mix Puppies – Experienced Homes ONLY Yes, they are absolutely STUNNING. But these puppies are not just pretty faces—they are typical Malinois/German Shepherd-type puppies with the intelligence, drive, energy, and intensity that come with these breeds. At just 10 weeks old, they are still small, but they are expected to grow into 50+ pound adult dogs. And they are already showing us exactly who they are: • Mouthy and nippy – they are puppies and are still learning appropriate behavior • High-energy with plenty of squealing, bouncing, and puppy craziness • Tenacious – they don't give up easily • Extremely smart and quick to learn • Driven and intense • Curious, active, and ready for a job, training, and adventure These puppies are NOT apartment dogs. They also are not a good match for homes with young children, primarily because of their natural puppy nipping and intensity. They need owners who understand that raising a Malinois/German Shepherd-type dog requires being intentional from day one with training, structure, boundaries, exercise, and mental stimulation. Breed-specific or very similar breed experience is REQUIRED. We are looking for adopters who truly understand what these dogs are going to become—not simply someone who thinks they are beautiful puppies. Please understand that we are always picky and tenacious with our applications, but we will be especially tenacious with these puppies. Their future depends on placing them with owners who are prepared for the commitment and intensity of these breeds. If you have the experience, structure, time, and dedication these puppies need, they could grow into incredible companions. Beautiful? Absolutely. Smart? VERY. Driven? Without a doubt. Easy? Nope. Worth it for the right owner? Absolutely! Adopt responsibly. Know the breed. Know the commitment. We got Poirot to be a companion to our aging Malamute who had recently lost his friend, our 12 yr old German Shepherd. Poirot did the trick and seemed to lift our malamute’s spirits until he also passed away. Now Poirot is an only dog and we have full time jobs with 2 little girls under 4 yrs old. Poirot is a little too big and active for them so we don’t spend much time with him. We feel that at this point in our lives, we aren’t able to give Poirot his best life and are seeing if some other family has a lot of love to give.
