Wayne is a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois looking for a very specific kind of home. He isn’t going to be the right dog for everyone—and that’s okay. We want to find him the right home, not just the first one. Wayne will require someone with working-dog experience, preferably someone who understands Malinois and what these dogs are capable of when their needs are met. Right now, Wayne is learning how to just be a dog. ❤️ There is some drive hiding in there; he simply hasn’t figured out where or how to channel it yet. We’re slowly building that confidence, engagement, and enjoyment of working with a handler. He enjoys his walks and will play a little fetch, although right now his attention span says, “Okay, that was fun… what’s next?” 😂 He’s also slowly learning the whole house-dog lifestyle and making progress! A few things about Wayne: 🐾 Working-dog experience is a MUST 🐾 No cats 🐾 No small children 🐾 Doing great with an e-collar as part of his training 🐾 Enjoys walks and some fetch 🐾 Slowly learning house manners and how to settle 🐾 Must be kenneled in a Ruff Land or similarly secure kennel—a standard wire crate will not be sufficient DOG INTRODUCTIONS WILL BE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Wayne needs someone willing to take introductions seriously, move slowly, and not rush the process. If there is already another dog in the home, that dog needs to be stable, extremely dog-savvy, and appropriate for him. Wayne needs structure, patience, clear expectations, appropriate outlets, and someone willing to continue showing him what life can look like. Well, butter my biscuit! Howdy, y'all! I'm Dolly, and I may be the smallest gal in my litter, but I'm pretty sure I got the BIGGEST personality! I'm a 4-month-old puppy, and my story started with a heartbreaking chapter. My human passed away, leaving my mama and all six of us puppies behind. Thankfully, we got our chance at a fresh start, and now I'm ready to find my very own forever family. We think I'm a Malinois x Australian Cattle Dog mix, which means I may have inherited some serious brains, a little herding instinct, and enough energy to keep life interesting. Mama weighs around 55 pounds, so we expect us pups to grow into medium-sized dogs. I may be the smallest of the bunch, but don't let that fool you. I have absolutely NO plans to let my bigger siblings get all the glory! In fact, I'm probably the most adventurous puppy in the entire litter. If there's something new to investigate, I'm already halfway there. If everyone else is wondering whether we should try something, I've probably already tried it, figured it out, and moved on to my next mission. And the brains? Oh, honey. These puppies are ALL smart, which makes being the smartest one quite the accomplishment! I'm basically the valedictorian of the puppy class. I love figuring things out, exploring my surroundings, and keeping my little mind busy. With my Malinois and Cattle Dog heritage, I'll need a family who understands that a clever girl like me needs more than a cute face and a comfy bed. I'll thrive with training, games, adventures, puzzle toys, and plenty of opportunities to learn. Fair warning: when you combine a tiny body, a curious mind, and a fearless attitude, you might end up with a puppy who thinks she can do absolutely ANYTHING. Climb that? Probably. Investigate that? Definitely. Figure out how to get the treat you thought was safely out of reach? Give me a minute. But underneath all that adventurous spirit and impressive intelligence, I'm still a sweet little puppy who needs love, guidance, and a family to help me grow into the amazing dog I'm meant to be. I'll need patience with puppy training, consistent boundaries, exercise, and lots of positive experiences as I learn about the world. I may be the littlest cowgirl in the bunch, but I've got enough courage, curiosity, and personality to fill a Texas-sized ranch! I am a great boy and would LOVE a busy family to do fun stuff with then to just hang out relaxing with. I came to the rescue so long ago that all my family has been adopted and I'm still waiting ................... My rescue friends and can't figure out why. I'm a smart, friendly, happy and busy boy.
