Story
DeAnn is a large-size 8-year-old Belgian Malinois mix who weighs 65 pounds. DeAnn is quite the independent and reserved older lady. She's looking for a quiet, laid-back home environment to spend her golden years! DeAnn is super smart and food-motivated, she has great manners and walks nicely on a leash with you. She has an affectionate side once she's comfortable and trusts you! At this time, DeAnn will require to be an only pet, as she prefers to be the queen of the castle in her new home. She was tested for heartworms and Lyme and was negative for both. DeAnn will be spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated before leaving for her forever home.

Story
Bruno is a great dog; he is almost two years old and just like any Malinois he is a bundle of energy. I work nights now and he needs more attention and exercise than I can give him. He is a little good with his brother dog that lives in the house, but is over-excited around other dogs—not because he wants to fight them, but because he loves other dogs. Let me know if you have questions.

Adele is spayed, fully healthy and microchipped! Adele is at the Bucktown Adoption Center! Come on in to meet her. 💧: Mostly Housebroken: Has good house manners but may have an occasional accident while adjusting to a new home. 🏠 : New to Crate Training: Has little to no crate experience and will need gradual introduction and training. 🚶: Will benefit from continued training. Tends to bark/pull/jump on leash towards other dogs and/or people and will benefit from a calm neighborhood and experienced handler, or a backyard. 🐶: Dog Social: Enjoys the company of other dogs and has done well with a variety of canine friends. 🐱: Unsure with Cats: Has not been tested with cats, so their compatibility is unknown. We would recommend a slow introduction with a way to separate the home for each pet. 🧒: Best with Older Kids: Would thrive in a home with older, dog-savvy children who can respect their boundaries. Adele wants to be around her besties - humans or dogs - all the time! She likes to follow you around the apartment, and is immediately in your lap when you sit down on the couch. She also is extremely inquisitive; she will happily sniff for hours, and will frequently gently pick up objects (but will relinquish non-toys/redirect without much trouble). She's starting to learn "sit" and "off" after just a few days, and is just a lovely and smart girl with so much potential! 🧬: This pet has not been DNA tested, we are unsure of their actual breed makeup, but these are the breeds we think they look like! 💰: Adele’s adoption fee is $300, and she cannot wait to join her forever family! 🩷: Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/. Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours. Story
This is Willow. She needs a big yard or fenced in yard that she can be out whenever she pleases. She loves to be outside no matter the weather. She has to be out. She is a Belgium Malinois Husky Mix. She is going to be 4. She is UTD on vaccines, she is spayed, potty trained and is chipped and pretty decent about manners. She is full of personality, dramatic, rambunctious and a great cuddler. She gets along well with Cats, Dogs and all feral children. She loves dog parks camping, car rides, exploring, beaches... you name it. I would suggest a home with older children as she is hyperactive and jumpy especially when she is excited. (Her Breed) She doesn't do the best on the leash as she's always been kind of a free roamer but knows to stay close and in sight. She listens to silent commands and will ring the bell to let you know she wants out- She is kennel trained Vet Ref Req.
