Story
Meet Tyg (Tygrys) Tyg is a beautiful, big 7.5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix. He came to GRRAND as a puppy in 2019 and was quickly adopted. Sadly, he was returned due to a divorce in June 2023. He’s spent the last three years at the GRRAND kennel. He is a kennel favorite. Our volunteers adore Tyg, and he they. They dress him up for Holiday photo shoots, like Christmas, St Patrick’s Day, Halloween, etc., and he patiently allows them to put ridiculous costumes on him and snap photos. He gets taken on a field trip at least weekly; he loves a Starbucks’ pup cup and McDonalds double cheeseburger (without the bun!!!)  – Yes, he’s a bit spoiled – but he deserves it. Tyg’s breed is used as a  ‘guardian’ . He has been bred to watch over his flock and property. When you first come to the kennel, he will let you know not to mess with his volunteers (flock) or his property (kennel). But once he gets to know you, he will love and protect you too! Tyg needs a fenced yard to patrol. A dog savvy adopter who is willing to put in the time to let Tyg get to trust them. No dogs or children. 10/15/2026 - ACL/Surgery Update Thanks to amazing support within the GRRAND community we have raised over $5,700. Tyg not only has a torn ACL, but had two tumors that had to be removed, costing over $1000. That surgery is now behind us and our big boy has recovered well. He is currently on an anti-inflammatory and pain medication for his ACL tear, and we will be planning his knee surgery next week, hopefully getting it completed in early November. Tyg will recover and rehab at the kennel. We fully expect him to be running the fence line again by the time Spring comes around - unless of course he's found his forever home! . A huge thank you to everyone who has supported this special pup in his time of need.        ##1734296##

Story
Cooper is an energetic, people pleasing, playful 4 year old German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix. We acquired him from a rescue when he was 5 months old. He gets along great with our kids (infant-12 years). He needs someone who can play with him daily and not mind having a shadow around the house. He loves cuddles and treats. He does not enjoy cats and would thrive being the only dog with a fenced in yard. We have done behavioral training with him and he does many commands (sit,stay,place,off,heel). Leash,collar and kennel will come with him. Unfortunately with our growing family and his energetic needs we can no longer give him what he needs. He loves being outside, going on walks, being in water (not sprayed though) and running around with the kids in the yard.
