Story
Rosie is a sweet, loving dog and gets along very well with all people but does not care for dogs outside of her littermates. She is afraid of thunderstorms/fireworks and eats a human grade diet of either chicken/turkey with rice and blueberries, sweet potatoes or pumpkin and broccoli with some occasional sardines for her coat. She has a pretty sensitive tummy so this diet keeps her healthy and happy! She truly just wants someone to bond and cuddle with until she wants her alone time and then she will go find a comfy spot and snore away for a long time. She prefers to be in a yard vs walking on a leash but can walk on a leash. My fiance and I wish we could keep Rosie, but our move will include us being around other dogs including a dog she has had previous altercations with. She does not show aggression towards people, just a bit excitable and jumpy which can be controlled by ignoring the behavior and a firm "NO!". Really a great, loving dog that we wish could get along with pups better

Story
Meet Bear Bear is an estimated 3-year-old Belgian Malinois looking for a very specific kind of home — one that understands his breed, his needs, and the commitment required to help him succeed. This isn’t your average “easygoing” dog post, because Bear isn’t an average dog — and that’s okay.Belgian Malinois are incredibly intelligent, driven, and loyal dogs who thrive with structure, purpose, and guidance. Bear will need an experienced owner who understands the breed and is ready to provide consistency, routine, and continued training while building a strong foundation of trust.* Bear cannot be placed with other dogs or cats.* Bear should not be placed in a home with young children.* He will do best with someone dedicated to working with him and helping him feel secure in his environment.* He needs leadership, patience, and someone willing to invest the time to help him reach his full potential. What we see in Bear is a dog who wants to connect — but he needs the right person to help him feel safe, understood, and successful. For the right home, Bear has the potential to be an incredibly loyal and rewarding companion. If you have experience with Belgian Malinois or similar working breeds and are ready for a dog that requires commitment and understanding, Bear may be waiting for you.

Story
We came to meet my sweet cali when we rescued her mom off the side of the road. We were unaware she was pregnant and n within weeks we had a litter of 7 puppies. Cali has an issue with food guarding especially with other dogs and is very high energy. Cali is a sweet girl who needs a big space and lots of TLC, which I cannot adequately provide right now.

Story
Trixie is the most wonderful family companion, and came back to us after about 5 months, as the situation changed, and they had to bring her back. She is 2 years old at most, and 65 lbs of awesome. If you like this breed and have GSD experience, this is your girl. She is great with dogs and people, but might try to chase your cat. She is smart and social and knows commands and will off leash train with ease. She is so pretty in person and just the right size. Trixie listens well and is eager to please. This girl was much loved and well cared for, but sadly, her family had to let her go. A must meet, for she will steal your heart for sure...  LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER (Pregnant Dog Rescue) is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility. We exist only on the kindness of your donations and adoptions! We pride ourselves on being an HOLISTIC center and feed only holistic foods and various vitamins and supplements to all of our dogs. LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER dogs are well socialized, very friendly, and in wonderful health.  We stand by our pups/dogs, and give 10 days for a refund and almost always take our dogs back at any age of their lives (often depends on dog)! LMAC has an application screening process.  All applicants are asked to provide vet references, personal references, and a home visit.  We pride ourselves in matching up the right dog with the right home. Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it might take awhile. We hope you understand and are willing to wait for the perfect pup for your situation. We reserve the right to turn applicants down and to change our mind about a suitable match, for we are only concerned about what is best for our dogs.  Also note that we arrange our visiting hours around your schedule, as this is a private, in home facility.  We respond to all inquiries promptly, so if you have any trouble sending us an email, or have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please, CONTACT US AGAIN and check your spam!  (We all know how emails can be at times!) Our dogs are spayed or neutered (if old enough), up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested, and free of fleas and ticks.  We temperament test our  dogs and they are all suitable for many family situations. Our dogs are well mannered, know some basic commands, and are usually housebroken within a week of being with us (if old enough).  They are in our family/home situation at this time (not in kennels or crates, although most are crate trained) and are worked with daily.  All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption donations vary with age, breed, vetting, and training of the dog, and range from $250 to $695 (most being $595).  (We do not tend to place puppies or small dogs with kids under 6 and reserve the right to match who WE feel would be the best homes for our dogs.)   March 8, 2026, 12:09 pm

Story
Kona is a 7 year old, 70 lb Shepherd mix and a shelter employee and volunteer favorite! This big girl has got personality! A lover of long walks, hikes, and treatos! She`ll give a paw or two for cookies. She loves everyone she meets and shes easy on the eyes.So what`s the catch? Why do dogs like Kona get overlooked? With great personality comes quirks sometimes. For Kona, it`s resource guarding. Simply put, in the past when she has decided something is hers... she has defended her ownership of it fiercely. Whether it be high value objects or food items.https://www.cognitoforms.com/griffinpondanimalshelter1/griffinpondanimalshelteradoptionapplicationfordogsGriffin Pond Animal Shelter 967 Griffin Pond RdSouth Abington Twp Pa 18411 Kennel License #2236That said, she has received some training to work with her resource guarding but would need to be continued in a new home. Her daily dog walkers speak volumes of her as being the easiest dog to walk in the entire kennel. As well as most affectionate! But remember , this is a controlled environment . She needs the same structure and routine in a home.Because of her past resource guarding, she would do best in a low traffic home without young children or other pets. Someone who has experience with canine resource guarding or can provide training for her would be of most benefit to her in a new home. Please give Kona the chance she deserves.

Story
Selma is an 7-8 year old (estimated) beautiful and unique mixed breed. Her DNA results showed her top two main breeds being Great Pyrenees and German Shepherd. Our two very young children make Selma very nervous with all of their noise and energy. That is why we have decided to rehome our girl so that she can return to a quieter and more controlled environment that she loves and deserves. She absolutely LOVES being outside. Great hiking partner ! We often have to “bribe” her with a treat to come in! She also loves to lay on the couch and wind down before bed. Breed experience is a plus (knowing and understanding breed “quirks”) but not a requirement. A understanding and patient adopter familiar with larger breed dogs would be preferred.
