Hi there! My name is Dakota and I’m a handsome 5yr old Shepherd mix. I’m originally an IDGSR dog and have been welcomed back into the rescue due to some life changes with my current family. I know my forever family is out there, I hope it will be with you!
*PERSONALITY*
I’m a super great dog. I’m friendly with all people that I meet, I’m house & kennel trained, I love to play but don’t have all that crazy puppy energy. I like to go on adventures, play tug, and go anywhere with you.
*TRAINING*
I already know several commands: paw, off, & wait. I’m very smart and think it would be so cool to learn some more advanced obedience commands. Doing this will help me bond to you & make sure I’m the bestest boy.
*IDEAL HOME*
My forever home will be with a loving person or family, one that will give me a lot of love and attention. I’d like a yard to play in, a comfy bed to lounge on, and to take walks or go on outings.

***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION***
-ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted
-We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply
-All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered
-Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter
-An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog
-Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
-Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications
-All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time
