Charlie is a young Belgian Malinois mix who is looking for a home that understands and appreciates the incredible mind and drive of this breed. He is potty trained, crate trained, and does well with other dogs and even cats. Charlie is a happy, affectionate young dog who loves toys, treats, and playing with other dogs. He’s extremely smart, food motivated, and eager to engage with his people. Like most young Malinois, he is high energy and thrives when he has both physical exercise and mental work. This boy loves to run and would make an excellent running, hiking, or training partner. He’s the kind of dog that wants to do things with his person — whether that’s training, structured play, or outdoor adventures. Charlie will do best in an active home with prior working breed or Malinois experience that understands the importance of structure, training, and outlets for his energy and intelligence. In the right environment, he has the potential to be an incredibly loyal, fun, and devoted companion. If you know and love the Malinois breed and are looking for a young dog with tons of potential, Charlie may be your guy. Once we receive your application, we will schedule a phone interview. Our adoptions include a 2-week trial period with fully refundable adoption fees during that period. Story
King has been with HOT-PAWS since 2021 when he came as a stray. This gentleman came to us Heartworm positive and has remained testing a light positive for heartworms despite treatment. Part of our No Dog Left Behind program his last Pro-heart 12 was in August of 2024. King is a friendly fellow and has been good with other dogs when leashed, particularly females. He walks well on a leash, crates okay, and stays well in a secure fence. He has been around older kids, but not smaller ones. He is a handsome boy looking for a home.

Story
Rinie (Rinnie) came to HOT-PAWS as a stray in 2023. This sweet girl prefers to be with her people. At the first foster, she would jump out of their yard (only a 4 foot fence) and lay in front of the front door to wait for the foster to get home. At her current foster with a 6 foot fence, she has not escaped, so will need a yard with a taller fence. She would prefer to be indoors. She walks well on a leash and will crate okay. She has a sweet and gentle demeanor, and has been good with kids and other dogs. Rinie (Rinnie) would like a home where she gets to spend time with her people if possible.
