Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Calling all sporting dog enthusiasts, are you ready for your new Canine partner?   Introducing Gatorade, the 6 month old Belgian Malinios that is gearing up to be the perfect athlete for the right person! Gator has already been doing incredible with her training. She has learned a number of commands and useful life skills to help her navigate the world. She is still learning to control her inner maligator around all the crazy things that outdoor walks have to offer, but she's made outstanding progress!   She has a very high working drive, and loves to please. She's both food and toy motivated, making it very easy to please her too! Like the typical malinios, Gatorade is very high energy and requires experience with working dogs to find the right home.   She is currently 50 lbs right on the dot but has a little more room to grow and fill in. Despite her intense drive, Gator also has a pretty good off switch and can settle down quite nicely in her crate or on tether when you need her to.   She is great with other dogs who can tolerate her high energy and absolutely loves people of all ages. She is great in her crate and doing well with her potty training. She is spayed, current on vaccinations and microchipped.   Gatorade has incredible potential and would make the perfect dog for someone looking for that crazy malinios drive. Could this perfect home be yours? Apply to meet Gatorade today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 8, 2026, 2:34 pm

Story
Izzabella is an incredibly sweet, affectionate girl who loves being close to her people. She loves attention, cuddles, and companionship and has so much love to give. She is very smart, curious, and full of personality. With other animals, she has generally been submissive during direct interactions, although she can be vocal when she sees other dogs and may bark when someone approaches her home.Izzabella would do best with someone who can give her consistency, attention, and continued training. She will need continued work with house-training, and nail trims can be difficult for her, so an experienced or patient owner would be a great fit.I'm looking for a safe, loving, permanent home where Izzabella can get the time and attention she deserves. She is a genuinely loving dog, and finding the right person for her is very important to me.

Story
Meet Abuelito Male DOB: May 23, 2023 Weight: 40 pounds (medium) Breed: Belgian Malinois / Carolina Dog Mix Neutered (Fixed) Vaccinated Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Abuelito is an incredibly loving, gentle soul with a tender personality and a heart full of affection. He is sweet, calm, and deeply people-oriented, enjoying companionship and closeness with those around him. He has the kind of soft, loving energy that makes everyone feel instantly comfortable. He also gets along beautifully with: Cats Dogs People Abuelito is described as extremely affectionate and very gentle, making him the kind of dog who simply wants love, connection, and a peaceful home where he can feel safe and included. As a Belgian Malinois / Carolina Dog mix, Abuelito may show traits such as intelligence, awareness, loyalty, and strong emotional bonds with his family. While Belgian Malinois mixes are often known for being active and intelligent, Abuelito appears to have a calmer, softer temperament that makes him especially endearing. Abuelito would thrive in a home that can provide: Daily companionship and affection Moderate exercise and walks Structure and consistency Inclusion as part of the family He would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving, loyal, and emotionally connected dog. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even dogs who appear well-behaved in foster care or at the rescue are still adjusting and learning. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should be prepared to continue training and support after adoption. Abuelito will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Structure and consistency Continued socialization and engagement Patience during adjustment periods Routine and companionship Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, stability, and commitment, rescue dogs often blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, training, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility. Abuelito will need: Daily walks and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine wellness exams and preventative veterinary care A safe, stable, indoor living environment Consistent veterinary care, proper nutrition, preventative care, and emotional stability are all essential to helping him live a healthy and happy life. Abuelito is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. When he first arrived in rescue, it was clear he had been neglected for far too long. Instead of receiving the care and companionship every dog deserves, Duke had spent much of his life without the stability of a loving home. Despite everything he endured, he never lost his gentle heart or his willingness to trust people. Today, Duke is a healthy, happy boy who's ready to leave his past behind and begin the life he's always deserved. Don't let his size fool you—Duke is a true gentle giant. He has a calm, affectionate personality and loves spending time with his people. Whether he's relaxing by your side, enjoying a long walk, or soaking up belly rubs, Duke is happiest when he's part of the family. He forms strong bonds with the people he loves and is always eager to offer a wagging tail and a warm welcome. Duke would thrive in a home that offers: Daily walks and regular exercise Positive reinforcement training Mental enrichment through games and interactive toys A consistent daily routine Plenty of quality time with his family A safe, loving home where he's treated as a true member of the family A lifetime of love, patience, and commitment Duke has waited long enough for someone to see the incredible dog he truly is. Now he's ready to give his whole heart to a family that will love him forever. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Moving into a new home is a big transition for any rescue dog. Duke may need a little time to adjust to unfamiliar people, routines, and surroundings, but with patience and consistency, he'll quickly begin to feel at home. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to learn your household routine 3 Months to fully settle into family life Duke is intelligent and eager to please, making him an excellent candidate for continued positive reinforcement training. Like many working-breed mixes, he'll enjoy having both physical activity and mental challenges to keep him engaged. His new family should continue providing: Positive reinforcement training Daily exercise and enrichment Consistent routines and structure Continued socialization Plenty of love, patience, and encouragement With the right guidance, Duke will become a loyal, devoted companion who will stand by your side through every stage of life. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Adopting Duke is a lifelong commitment that includes providing excellent veterinary care, regular exercise, training, and a loving home. As part of responsible pet ownership, Duke will need: Annual veterinary wellness examinations Routine vaccinations as recommended by your veterinarian Monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention A balanced, high-quality diet to maintain a healthy weight Daily physical exercise and mental enrichment Continued training and socialization A safe indoor home where he is treated as a cherished member of the family We recommend scheduling a wellness examination with your veterinarian shortly after adoption to establish care and help ensure Duke continues to live a long, healthy, and happy life. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Duke, please complete an adoption application by visiting: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to giving dogs a second chance at a loving home.
