Story
Maximus Prime is a 2-year-old Malinois mix who’s all bark and no bite—unless it’s snack time, then he’s all nom nom nom. He looks tough but melts at the slightest weird noise, and his idea of bravery is barking at a leaf. Food-obsessed, drama-averse, and a full-time goofball, he’s the kind of dog who’d trip over his own paws just to make you laugh. Here’s what you need to know: -Full legal name: Maximus Doofus Prime -Bravery level: 10/10 in his head, 0/10 in real life (he’s working on it, though) -Snack security: A federal offense to even look at his food. The Doofus Stare is his weapon of mass distraction. - Energy mode: 5 minutes of zoomies, 23 hours and 55 minutes of “I’m fine like this, thanks.” - Love language: Cuddles (post-snack, post-nap, and definitely after bath time).

Story
Maya is a smart, affectionate, and energetic dog. She is in need of a very active/working home! She experienced abuse and neglect at various points through the 6 different homes in her first 4 months. She’s estimated a little over a year now. She was underweight and we were told she was up on immunizations. After 2 days with us, she became lethargic and sick which the vet confirmed as parvo. After 3 days of vet monitoring, she came home and has been herself ever since. She can be vocal and mouthy when she gets playful, which I hear can be common for breed. I haven’t been able to manage her energy well because of a back injury. She loves walks and jumping for toys. She can become destructive without toys to focus on when she feels lonely or nervous. She is at ease with a chew toy and when with her humans. Maya is so smart and has caught on to most training quickly. She was still in her puppy stage and could be defiant, but she has got better overall. I wanted to be her forever home.

Story
Meet Abuelito Male DOB: May 23, 2023 Weight: 50 pounds (medium) Breed: Belgian Malinois / Carolina Dog Mix Neutered (Fixed) Vaccinated Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Abuelito is an incredibly loving, gentle soul with a tender personality and a heart full of affection. He is sweet, calm, and deeply people-oriented, enjoying companionship and closeness with those around him. He has the kind of soft, loving energy that makes everyone feel instantly comfortable. He also gets along beautifully with: Cats Dogs People Abuelito is described as extremely affectionate and very gentle, making him the kind of dog who simply wants love, connection, and a peaceful home where he can feel safe and included. As a Belgian Malinois / Carolina Dog mix, Abuelito may show traits such as intelligence, awareness, loyalty, and strong emotional bonds with his family. While Belgian Malinois mixes are often known for being active and intelligent, Abuelito appears to have a calmer, softer temperament that makes him especially endearing. Abuelito would thrive in a home that can provide: Daily companionship and affection Moderate exercise and walks Structure and consistency Inclusion as part of the family He would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving, loyal, and emotionally connected dog. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even dogs who appear well-behaved in foster care or at the rescue are still adjusting and learning. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should be prepared to continue training and support after adoption. Abuelito will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Structure and consistency Continued socialization and engagement Patience during adjustment periods Routine and companionship Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, stability, and commitment, rescue dogs often blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, training, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility. Abuelito will need: Daily walks and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine wellness exams and preventative veterinary care A safe, stable, indoor living environment Consistent veterinary care, proper nutrition, preventative care, and emotional stability are all essential to helping him live a healthy and happy life. Abuelito is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Zaxby, an almost 11-year-old Shepherd mix with a gentle soul and so much love to give. While his Rescue Rovers name is Zaxby, he responds best to Axl—and his ears perk right up when he hears it. He’s neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to head home with his forever family.   Zaxby is the perfect blend of mellow and motivated. Inside the home, he’s low energy and content to relax by your side, happy just being near his people. He enjoys a peaceful environment and would make a wonderful companion for cozy evenings and quiet mornings. But when it’s time to head out for a walk? Zaxby lights up! He truly adores his strolls and will happily join you for neighborhood adventures at a comfortable pace. This sweet boy does great with other dogs, cats, and kids. He’s gentle, kind, and has a soft presence that makes him easy to love. Zaxby is also very food motivated, which has already helped him master “sit” and “shake.” With a few treats and some encouragement, he’ll gladly show off his skills and learn new ones.   Zaxby can sometimes resource guard his food, so he’ll do best being fed separately from other dogs in the home. With this simple routine in place, he continues to thrive and be the affectionate, well-mannered companion he’s meant to be.   At 10 years old, Zaxby has the wonderful balance of maturity and enthusiasm. He’s past the puppy chaos but still enjoys life’s simple pleasures—walks, treats, and time with his people. He’s ready to settle into a loving home where he can be a loyal, steady companion.   If you’re looking for a gentle, easygoing best friend who will happily share your days and walks, Zaxby is ready to meet you.
