Story
She’s a three month old Belgian Malinois, amazing at working hard but also has an off switch and loves to cuddle and nap with you. She can run after a ball for hours and watch tv just as much. She is in the middle of crate training and potty training, both going extremely well. She’s smart and in the week we have had her has socialized well in every situation from stores to dog parks to homes to streets. Loves other dogs and does well with cats. Seems like enjoy the company of children. Loyal and kind, definitely the most familial mal I have ever worked with. She needs a home who understands working breeds and is experienced with the training and time it takes to have this amazing companion by your side.

Story
Liesel is a beautiful 4-year-old, 70lb Belgian Malinois mix (50% Malinois, 25% Rottweiler, plus Dutch and German Shepherd). She’s intelligent, deeply loyal, affectionate, and devoted to her people—with the best ears you’ve ever seen. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic obedience (sit, stay, come, wait) with reliable recall. She learns quickly and responds well to calm, consistent structure. Liesel is a rescue and needs time to build trust, but once she does she becomes extremely bonded. She is protective and wary of strangers and must initiate all human contact. She is also mildly reactive to other dogs and must be the only pet in the home. She has a moderate activity level (walks, hikes, outdoor time) and relaxes well at home. She does not require constant “work,” but does need daily structure and engagement. Due to incompatibility with another resident dog in our home, we are making the heartbreaking decision to rehome her to keep her safe.

Story
Maya is a smart, affectionate, and energetic dog. She is in need of a very active/working home! She experienced abuse and neglect at various points through the 6 different homes in her first 4 months. She’s estimated a little over a year now. She was underweight and we were told she was up on immunizations. After 2 days with us, she became lethargic and sick which the vet confirmed as parvo. After 3 days of vet monitoring, she came home and has been herself ever since. She can be vocal and mouthy when she gets playful, which I hear can be common for breed. I haven’t been able to manage her energy well because of a back injury. She loves walks and jumping for toys. She can become destructive without toys to focus on when she feels lonely or nervous. She is at ease with a chew toy and when with her humans. Maya is so smart and has caught on to most training quickly. She was still in her puppy stage and could be defiant, but she has got better overall. I wanted to be her forever home.

Story
Meet Abuelito Male DOB: May 23, 2023 Weight: 40 pounds (medium) Breed: Belgian Malinois / Carolina Dog Mix Neutered (Fixed) Vaccinated Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Abuelito is an incredibly loving, gentle soul with a tender personality and a heart full of affection. He is sweet, calm, and deeply people-oriented, enjoying companionship and closeness with those around him. He has the kind of soft, loving energy that makes everyone feel instantly comfortable. He also gets along beautifully with: Cats Dogs People Abuelito is described as extremely affectionate and very gentle, making him the kind of dog who simply wants love, connection, and a peaceful home where he can feel safe and included. As a Belgian Malinois / Carolina Dog mix, Abuelito may show traits such as intelligence, awareness, loyalty, and strong emotional bonds with his family. While Belgian Malinois mixes are often known for being active and intelligent, Abuelito appears to have a calmer, softer temperament that makes him especially endearing. Abuelito would thrive in a home that can provide: Daily companionship and affection Moderate exercise and walks Structure and consistency Inclusion as part of the family He would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving, loyal, and emotionally connected dog. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even dogs who appear well-behaved in foster care or at the rescue are still adjusting and learning. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should be prepared to continue training and support after adoption. Abuelito will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Structure and consistency Continued socialization and engagement Patience during adjustment periods Routine and companionship Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, stability, and commitment, rescue dogs often blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, training, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility. Abuelito will need: Daily walks and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine wellness exams and preventative veterinary care A safe, stable, indoor living environment Consistent veterinary care, proper nutrition, preventative care, and emotional stability are all essential to helping him live a healthy and happy life. Abuelito is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
