F - 2 years old - Belgian Malinois Mix -
Moxie is a beautiful Belgian Malinois with a sensitive side and a lot of potential. This intelligent girl is looking for someone who understands that earning trust takes time and who is willing to help her build confidence at her own pace.
When meeting new dogs, Moxie can be insecure and unsure. During supervised meet-and-greets, she has been able to walk calmly alongside another dog without barking or reacting, but she has also shown that she can become uncomfortable when dogs get too close. Because of this, Moxie is currently recommended to be the only dog in the home.
Moxie would also benefit greatly from working with a professional trainer who can help her build confidence, learn appropriate coping skills, and continue developing her manners in new situations. A patient handler who enjoys working with an intelligent, driven breed will be an important part of helping Moxie thrive.
With the right person, Moxie has the opportunity to become an incredible companion. She needs someone who will respect her boundaries, give her structure and consistency, and celebrate the small victories along the way.

ADOPT
To adopt, come see us! We're open for walk-ins Tuesday - Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM with adoptions closing at 4:30 PM each day. All adoptions are $25 and our pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to head home with you.
